075 Now! 24, Side B
The backside of Now! 24 has high highs and low lows. Welcome to the program, Lily Allen, and hello, Nickelback, our old friends: we meet again. This episode has the gang recommending their favorite Halloween spook-a-doodles before tipping back double soy venti latte-gaze-acinos and chasing it with a shot of Mom Rock. Plus: we have to be done with The All-American Rejects for a while, right?
67 minutes | Sep 30, 2019
074 Now! 24, Side A
It's Now! 24! Be thankful you're listening to the front half of this one because hoooo boy, wait til Side B. Here, however, we've got the boys gushing over video game music and 80s pop songs that are not at all on this compilation. They also talk about the unqiquitous power of Timbaland, respectfully disagree on Beyonce, and add -licious to so many stupid words. It's nonsense, but it's our nonsense.
97 minutes | Sep 14, 2019
073 Now! 23, Side B
It's Now! 23, Side B, which definitely wasn't delayed due to one of the hosts having an arm injury. We finish up the disc by discussing horror icons' love lives, Nico takes a deep dive into the Nick Lachey/Jessica Simpson marriage and divorce and songs around it, Chris talks "selling out," and we finally talk Old Town Road.
81 minutes | Jul 31, 2019
072 Now! 23, Side A
La boix are back from their CRJ-cation to talk Now! 23! We're swinging with some heavy hitters on this one, but most of them are strikeouts. Welcome back Timbaland after a massive hiatus, and he's bringing with him Nelly Furtado and JT. Does his extremely 2006 sound hold up? What is Fergie's London Bridge and why is it going down? What would songs from this volume sound like if done today? Plus more concert stories, diversions, and cringey impressions than you can shake a tailfeather at.

071 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: Cut to the Feeling
This week, on the season finale of The E•MO•TION Minute, Nico and Chris search for something negative to say about the A+ B-side "Cut to the Feeling." Is this the best B-side of all-time? Who saw the movie this was attached to? Where would it have fit in E•MO•TION? Come for what basically becomes a 15 minute discussion on CRJ's high range, stay for our pitch for 80s rom-com "Weekend at Carly's."
18 minutes | Jun 30, 2019
070 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: Tug of War (Tug of War)
Sorry for the slight delay in kicking off this month's finale to The E•MO•TION Minute 2019; Chris moved into a new place and is meticulously setting up his sound system to get the exact correct amount of CRJ Vibes because, for this episode, we had to listen to "Tug of War," the pretty awful title track off of her debut album. What happens when an artist who hasn't yet found her sound drifts out of her vocal range in the chorus that follows lyrics that fail in their attempt to be clever? It's a bad song, folks, but it's a song that hints at the pop music Charizard she would eventually evolve into. It's not pop, it's not lattegaze, so who is this song even for? The answer is definitely not us. Also: welcome Feminist Icon Mrs. Bucket to the show!

069 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: Dedicated (Album Reactions)
At the tail end of a lovely, sunny, inebriated Camp CageClub 2: The Quickening, the Now and Again boys squeezed into a bedroom with CageClub Commander (and occasional friend of the show) Joey Lewandowski to talk snap reactions to Dedicated. Hear the hot takes and raucous disagreements that occur as hahaha just kidding we all love it, but listen to the episode to find out why and how much!

The CageClub Podcast Network Celebrates its 1000th Episode!
In August 2015, we released our very first podcast and proceeded to tear through Nicolas Cage’s filmography at a breakneck pace. We had no idea that we'd continue after we finished Cage’s filmography, but we asked, “What’s next?” and went from there. After nearly four years, we are releasing our 1,000th episode. In this episode, Joey Lewandowski talked many of your favorite CageClub Podcast Network hosts: Mike Manzi of Third Time’s A Charm, Joe Two of 2 Fast 2 Forever, Chris Podcasts of Now and Again, Brian Rodriguez of High School Slumber Party, Kyle Reinfried of Foodie Films, Jordan Polan-Clarke and Cara Gael O’Regan of Wistful Thinking, Aislinn Addington of The Contenders, Lindsay Gibb of Winona Forever, Jonah Rubino of X is for Podcast, and Nico Vasilo and Kevo Risse of .html. Thank you for listening. Share your favorite episode or memory with us by emailing mailbag@cageclub.me!

068 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: Warm Blood (E•MO•TION)
This episode of The E•MO•TION Minute is brought to you by @forpush, who demanded the hushed tones of E•MO•TION’s “Warm Blood.” We obliged by almost certainly disappointing him! Then, the boys talk CRJ’s BuzzFeed “Rank My Songs” interview and fill out the brackets themselves.
11 minutes | May 14, 2019
067 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: Making the Most of the Night (E•MO•TION)
This week on The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute, Chris sings the praises of E•MO•TION's "Making The Most of the Night." Originally written by Sia (among others), the boys go in depth on the Carly:Sia ratio of the song and how it serves as a flawless midpoint to the album.
10 minutes | Apr 30, 2019
066 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: I Didn't Just Come Here to Dance (E•MO•TION)
Now and Again brings you Season 1, Episode 3 of the E•MO•TION Minute with Nico's first round draft pick, the not-so-80s song about fucking, "I Didn't Just Come Here To Dance." This track continues the album's themes while carving out its own place among the E•MO•TION Sessions. Chris dips his toe back into his old friend Rap Genius to find out who Joe and Tino are and to gain a little bit of insight into CRJ's writing process.
16 minutes | Apr 14, 2019
065 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: Emotion (E•MO•TION)
This week on the Summer of Carly Rae Jepsen, Nico and Chris deep dive into "Emotion," the title track off of E•MO•TION, and discuss how it sets the seductive, synth-y, throwback tone for the entire album.
27 minutes | Mar 31, 2019
064 The Carly Rae Jepsen E•MO•TION Minute: An Introduction
On the pilot episode of The EMOTION Minute (a Now and Again Production), we answer all of your burning questions. Who is this Carly Rae Jepsen we keep talking about? Why an entire miniseries about her? Where is my mid-2000s bling rap discussions? Will Nico bring up Tori Amos anyway? Is EMOTION her only album? What am I doing here? Why do I smell toast? All of your burning questions answered (and more!) as Nico and Chris dive headfirst into the world of Queen Carly.

063 Now! 22, Side B
It's Now! 22, Side B, and we have spoken to Fox Mulder and QAnon to exclusively break open the "Taylor Swift is a plagiarist" conspiracy. Move out of the way, Alex Jones and Jacob Wohl; we are freeing minds across the planet! Also on this episode, we learn that Nico is not great with movies, Chris is not great at telling generic white dudes apart, and somehow the most contentious band to grace Now and Again thus far is The All-American Rejects. Come for the psychoanalysis of John Mayer, stay for the creation of the Rachel Dratch Fan Club. Plus: a brief history of the WOO HOO in pop music.
63 minutes | Feb 28, 2019
062 Now! 22, Side A
Now! 22 takes us to July 2006 and, for once, the front half is carrying the weight of the back half, even though it's mostly forgettable songs by artists you don't really love (but remember a bit). Nico and Chrix talk working retail and being forced to hear trash music, the first great Rhianna song, a detour to praise the career of Weird Al, and the pros and cons of autotune (the only way we got our news in 2009). Also, do the boys love or hate T-Pain? Nobody can figure it out!
80 minutes | Feb 14, 2019
061 Now! 21, Side B
Nico and Chris detour from the back end of Now's 21st birthday drunk brunch to talk about the customization benefits of MP3 and the balls to the wall attitude of the Shrek 2 soundtrack. When they do get back to Now! 21, it's Civil War as the boys argue over the low bar state of late era pop punk and a polarizing Gorillaz song before coming back together to fight a greater foe: racist country music.
63 minutes | Jan 31, 2019
060 Now! 21, Side A
Now! turns 21 and the boys go out to brunch to chat 2006. Nico monologues on the biggest moment in Mariah's career while Chris speaks fondly of the greatest Oscar winners in history. We explore the Muppet-like world of Fergie, the weird numerology that ties together pieces of shit, and give the guy from the Kim Kardashian sex tape as much time as he deserves.

059 Best of 2018, Side B
Nico and Chris are back to talk about the good stuff from 2018! First, though, they bookend the show with their future on The CageClub Network: new shows and a big programming announcement for the spring! Meanwhile, apparently some music happened. Nico is mostly blase as Chris rolls through his difficult to make Favorite 20 albums of the year. The boys talk about supergroups, the year of the short album, and Kanye's trilogy. Even if the albums were a stretch, there's more than enough to cobble together the NaA 2018 Mixtape, which you can check out on Spotify! P.S.: Chris sincerely apologizes for not knowing the difference between Australia and New Zealand.
73 minutes | Dec 31, 2018
058 Best of 2018, Side A
It's the Now and Again Best of 2018 and, in real 2018 fashion, we're starting with the disappointments: the stuff that fell far short of last year's lofty expectations. First up: the on-the-bubble albums that slipped into the honorable mentions. We talk Mariah, Robyn, Pale Waves, CRJ, being disgusting hipsters who collect records, tattooed faces, Hootie and the Blowfish, Friends, Kimbra, Joyce Manor, The Midnight, Weezer, Dashboard Confessional, tumblr porn, what is this list, where am I, why do I smell toast?

057 A Time Adventure That Doesn't Involve Chris (But He's There In Spirit)
Chris had to miss an episode so Nico is running the show. Poor show. Poor, poor show. Nico decided to take co-hosts Kevo (X Is For Podcast, mcu.html) and Jonah (X Is For Podcast) down the rabbit hole and into the past as they take a time adventure and travel from 1997 to 2017 to listen to the Billboard #1 song from each year on December 15th! Inexplicably, nearly every artist appearing on this list ties directly into the Now and Again stable of champion artists.
