Lord Love a Duck
Lord Love a Duck: A phrase of British origin which is meant to convey shock or surprise in a situation where no other words or phrase will fit/a mildly inoffensive and appropriate term used to express surprise. The meaning of this phrase obviously fit the title of the film, who’s sole purpose was Protest with intent to offend. Lord Love a Duck was by no means a success at the box office, but it certainly was a hit with Roddy McDowall and Tuesday Weld fans, who decades after it’s box office failure, made it a cult classic.
