I did it, after sitting on my assessment and referral letter for nearly two weeks I walked into a therapists office as if it was a totally normal thing to do, which apparently it is.

A visit to the doctor, K10 assessment form and Australian government funded therapy
I take the first step on my journey to feel better, therapy. A visit to my doctor who fills in a K10 assessment form and gives me a referral to a therapist practice. After a hard week following my decision to seek therapy I went through with a doctors visit, 3 visits in all, so book a double with your doctor if you want to take this route to getting some therapy. I talk briefly about the K10 assessment, the types of questions they ask, etc. I went in blind to this but it's surprising how much information is available online regarding this test, look into it if you are feeling anxious.
