2 Chronicles 20:1-12

In John 14 Jesus comforts his disciples by telling them the way to the Father is through the Son. And, as the await the return of Jesus, they will have the Helper, the Spirit of God strengthening them along the way. ——— More about us. If we look at the disciple whom Jesus loved and Judas, we see a contrasting picture. Judas sold Jesus out for thirty pieces of silver, carrying out the plan of Satan himself. Yet, the disciple whom Jesus loved pointed towards Jesus as the one who could save you from your sins. ——— More about us. When Jesus washes the disciple's feet we see the Lord of lords taking the form of a humble servant. The call on our lives is to follow his example and serve those around us. At the same time, washing the feet of his disciples pointed towards a greater washing. At the cross, Jesus would shed his blood to wash our sins away.
