Cory
Cory This week is a very special episode for our listeners. We finally sat down and talked with our brother Cory about what it was like growing up with us and without us. About how being abandoned by our mother several times impacted him as a child and as a father. And how it has impacted the relationship we all have with each other. Please like, comment, subscribe, share, or leave a review. Peace and love.

Moms Journal Part 1
Moms Journal Part 1 In episode 11, we read from and break down entries from our moms journal that was written to Kimberly. This journal was written in an effort to share childhood memories from her perspective. She shares moments of physical abuse, emotional break downs, our parents divorce, and how she chose our step-father. We hope you enjoy this episode. (Original Air Date 7/2/2018)

Underage Parties
Underage Parties Growing up we were smoking, drinking, cussing like sailors, having parties, and anything else we wanted to do. Only our parents were the ones buying everything and hosting the parties for us. Our parents thought it was great that we tried to behave like adults and they enjoyed partying with underage kids. In this episode we talk about some of the parties, alcohol poisoning, skinny dipping, and how it impacted us as parents ourselves. We hope you enjoy the shenanigans! (Original Air Date 6/25/2018)

The Last Two Months
The Last Two Months Two Month Update. It might seem a little early for an update on our lives, since we only launched our podcast two months ago, but we just had to share. After doing our Ancestry DNA test, that we talked about in episode one, we learned that we have different biological fathers. After our first episode aired, we found Desiree’s biological father, and they meet each other for the first time last week! And that’s just the beginning! You’ll have to listen to learn the rest. Thank you for all the love and support. (Original Air Date 6/11/2018)

Growing Up Poor
Growing Up Poor Episode 9 is all about the crazy stuff we had to do to help pay bills and put food on the table when we were kids. We always had food in our bellies and clothes on our backs, but where it came from and how we obtained it was not the most traditional way to go about things. From stealing, to returning stolen items, lying to churches, manipulating people to help us, and so on. (Original Air Date 6/18/2018)

The Letter
The Letter *Trigger warning, Graphic Content* In episode 7, Desiree reads a letter she wrote to our mother 10 years ago. This episode is very graphic, and was a very hard episode for us to get through. Desiree wrote this letter while she was in basic training for the Air Force, and she was at a place in her life where she finally had the courage to get it all off her chest, but also had a lot of anger towards our mother. (Original Air Date 6/4/2018)

Accusations & Fostercare
Original Air Date 5/28/2018 In episode 6 we share how the accusations came out about our step dad and how the days and weeks after impacted everyone in the family. The way these days played out told us just where we stood with our mom and she proved that she would truly stand by him no matter what. It is also the time that our walls went up and it became harder for us to speak our truth.

Uncle Joey
Original Air Date 5/21/2018 In this weeks very special episode we had the opportunity to have our Uncle Joey sit down and talk with us. We went to Phoenix Arizona to watch him graduate and we could not be more proud of him! Uncle Joey is our mothers baby brother and has been there for us our whole lives. We asked him to share his perspective on what he saw as an outsider looking in on our childhood, and what impact it had on our relationship with him. It was such a great experience to hear some stories of when we have no memories of what was going on, and to add more layers of understanding that the abuse had always been present in our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of the love and support.

The End of Childhood
Original Air Date 5/14/2018 We discuss one of the most pivotal moments in our childhood. In 1992 we moved to Utah to live near our grandpa. We were 10 and 8 years old. Our step-father was just dishonorably discharged from the Navy and unable to get a job. Our mother had her first psychotic break, that we can remember. And they both gave up on their roles as parents. It became the end of what was left of our childhood and the beginning of new forms of abuse and abandonment.

Childhood Heroes
Original Air Date 5/7/2018 In this weeks episode we introduce you all to some of our childhood heroes. We have had many people touch our lives in so many ways and we could never mention them all in one episode. Throughout our lives we have recognized that there have been so many people that have shown us what love, family, strength, courage, and kindness really looks like. With out these people we would not be who we are today.

Abuse, Abandonment, Depression, and Family
Original Air Date 4/30/2018 In this weeks episode we start to scrape the surface of the forms of abuse we experienced throughout our lives. This was a difficult episode to record knowing that these awful truths about us would be out in the universe for everyone to hear. However, we feel it is so important for people to start to stand strong in who they are and remove the shame from their stories, and we have to start with ourselves. We hope you enjoy, and don’t forget to subscribe, follow, and share.
