Shuffling is a topic that is often overlooked. It is one of the most integral parts of the game. Not only does it prevent stacking/cheating, but it improves gameplay. Shuffling increases the number of keepable hands and reduces mulligans. Sufficient randomness should always be an objective. 

The Metagame. What does that mean? What do those tournament results actually indicate? Well, it isn't just about what is the best. It indicates match-ups, tournament size, who is playing in that tournament, confidence, fear, experience and etc. Top Eight results can reflect a combination of different things. Follow along as I feebly attempt to separate these ideas and their impact on tournament results. 

Traditional Modern Jund has been falling out of favor in the current metagame. I will cover the two big problems with modern Jund. The first being the lack of maximizing the biggest threat in the deck: Tarmogoyf. The second problem is the lack of another big threat. At the end, I discuss how a hybrid version between traditional Jund and Traverse Shadow may be the key to bringing back its dominance. 

This is an impromptu episode. After experiencing a high volume of Magic stereotypes, I felt the need to talk about this self-perpetuating stereotypes of Magic players. For one, it is simply false. Magic players are like everybody else. Two, it hurts the game and disenfranchises other segments of the Magic community. Also, Magic players hurt themselves with self-fulfilling prophecies and self-deprecation. We as Magic players need to stop with the use of "Us Magic players are X".

Translating the Magic the Gathering card game into cinema has always been a difficult task. The main problem has always been the elusive mana system. Today, I offer an idea that could solve all of these issues and answer the mana problem once and for all. 

In this episode, I explore the under explored topic of jamming. I give a few examples of when it is advantageous to throw caution to the wind and to simply slam down those spells. Knowing when to jam can push out wins when a loss is all but assured. 

I talk about the my experience with writing Magic articles and the why the current quality of articles are trending downwards. It isn't all doom and gloom. I talk about the future of Magic content moving towards podcasts and video. In the end, I think this future will be good for Magic content as it pushes for quality as content creators see more profits for their work. 

I play devil's advocate with the reserved list. The idea comes from that we most often hear about the player perspective. In this installment, I wanted to try and look at it from WotC's perspective. As stated in the podcast, I do no represent WotC or have any affiliation. I just wanted to put the shoe on the other foot for a change.

Since the topic of nutrition is always seems to be an interest of the Magic player community, I decided to give it a go and talk about the science behind it. Yes, science. The advice is nothing fancy. Eat your fruits and vegetables, keep a balanced diet, drink water and get your sleep. 

This isn't a troll. I genuinely talk today about the problems with the color pie and how to fix them. This is about making Magic better and how the ambiguous color pie dictatorship must end.
