Mid Career Crisis Awards
The boys have been slacking. Yep. Lazy no-do-gooder’s just being absolutely nihilistic. Hooray! This episode we take a look at bands who have had epic albums recorded in the middle of their career. Check out all the fun and debauchery. Or don’t. Honestly, I am too exhausted to care.

Fighting Nihilism - Winter 2021
Ok kids. Here it is. The next chapter in the extremely pathetic adventures of the Nihilists of Apathy Fighting Nihilism addition. Yep. It is 2021 and there is a whole lot of fighting going on. Holloway, McGregor, Spencer, etc. Sit back and roll your eyes at all the sad but true ramblings of these fight fans. Kilo for Kilo, you may hate them, but you have to admit, they are not very entertaining either. Enjoy.

S2:E16 - RS 500 - Horse$—t & Hand Grenades #400 - #301
And here we go again. The Fellas are back to take a second swing at Rolling Stone magazine’s Top 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. And if the title didn’t give it away the Fellas had some issues with the list. D Wilde comes to life with a spirited debate over what is a ‘naked lady’ and what is an album cover. The debate over what is art will be reserved for another day.

S2:E15 - RS 500 Greatest Albums - Suspect Choices #500 to #401
On this episode of the pod your favorite apathetic nihilists give their initial thoughts on most preposterous list in rock, Rolling Stone magazine’s The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. What the F@CK even defines great? Let alone who. Fear not the Fellas reflect on the process, prior versions of the list and begin by examining albums 500 - 401. Big surprise with a list of 500 albums the discussion had to be spread across several podcasts. Don’t worry the fellas don’t sacrifice quality for quantity, they have neither! Speaking of low quality don’t forget to check out the new merchandise. If your size isn’t available let the Fellas know and they’ll get right on it :)

S2:E14 - Fighting Nihilism - Thanksgiving Edition
They’re back! The Nihilists of Apathy Podcast has returned with an all-new episode! On this week’s episode of the podcast, the fellas deep dive on boxing/ MMA and share their pound for pound lists. Spoiler alert D no longer has Money Mayweather on this list. That decision will not make D healthy, wealthy or wise. Your favorite nihilists bust out the creativity and come up with new ring walk music for Roy Jones Jr and Mike Tyson in advance of their much anticipated “fight” (????) on November 28th 2020. Wow Steve way to go outside the box or ring on this topic….Roy Jones Ringwalk So sit back, crack open a cold one and enjoy the verbal diarrhea that is the show.

S2:E13 - Dump by the Lake
Lights! Cameras! & utter indifference??? What else do you expect when your two favorite nihilists take on Hollywood (& no not Florida, the Fellas aren’t allowed back after the incident). Not being content with just ruining sports and music the Fellas decided to conquer a new frontier the movies. Oh great, we get to hear about their screenplays & ideas for movies. FCUK No! Being apathetic the fellas lack the follow-through or energy to do either of those things. Rather the fellas recast two classic sports movies: Oliver Stone’s 1999 masterpiece Any Given Sunday & 1989’s Major League.

S2:E12 - Shiny Happy Apathy
Ok listeners. You did not request this, however, we don’t care and we are doing it anyway. That is right. Our show, our rules. Honestly, we don’t even care about our own rules. Ever sang to a song in your car, room, cell, restroom and suddenly realized that the incredibly upbeat song has extremely dark subject matter and you didn’t even realize it? Nope? Oh well. We are about to ruin your favorite songs and tell it like it is. This week it is all about great songs with dark subject matter. And on that note…

Eight knockdowns in five rounds, now thats a fight! Finally the fellas discuss the NFL, Cam Newton and the Las Vegas Raiders! Welcome to Vegas Gruden!

S2:E10 - Epic Fjords
Ah yes. The beautiful, majestic and amazing Fjords of the world. Mother nature takes glaciers and carves a work of art into her canvas. One can only gaze in wonder and amazement at these gorgeous…Excuse me. We are not doing fjords this week? Seriously? I worked all week on this intro and did a crap load of research for this episode. Well then you pick the theme, do the research, write the summary and record and edit the show. Better yet, go rule the world and see if I care. I am done. No more… And on that note:

S2:E9 - Speaker Love
The fellas are at it again. Hubris runs deep with the Nihilists of Apathy as they assume they can improve the best selling Hip-Hop album of all time, Outkast’s SpeakerBoxxx/ The Love Below. They trim the fat off this 39 track double album that has always been a bit of a riddle for fans and critics alike. Don’t get us wrong it’s not that the fellas don’t love this album they just don’t love all of it. Actually they loathe large portions of it. And just like the album itself you get two very unique lists from your favorite nihilists, The Nihilists of Apathy.

S2:E8 - Apathetic Obligations
Obligations, everybody has them why would musicians be any different. Most musicians have some sorts of obligations: alimony, lawyers and other bullsh*t. But the Fellas explore a different kind of obligation, album obligations. Spite, anger and a misguided sense of right and wrong drive these albums. Some of these albums like the Strokes Comedown Machine are the ultimate example of phoning it in and doing it for the money. Really the four guys who are the sons of famous models and New York Socialites half assed it, ‘no Joe say it ain’t so.’ While others like Band Of Gypsys by Jimi Hendrix only hint at the greatness that might have been, but wasn't.

S2:E5 - The Fragile
So here we are toes in the sand, a palm tree swaying in the breeze and the sun is high in the sky. The soothing sound of the waves crashing against the beach are ever present. Did the fellas take a trip to an all inclusive resort with all the new sponsor money. Not quite. Much like Wilson in Castaway they are stuck on a deserted island (or was it a red velvet cake Island) and sadly there isn’t even Tom Hanks there to keep them company. Tom could have regaled them with tales of the Da Vinci Code and other classic….Alas not to be…. All the fellas have are five classic albums to keep them company. Guess what in the end Wilson’s conversational skills sucks and the fellas are sure glad to have some tunes available. As always the fellas brought their A game thanks to their new sponsor…..
62 minutes | Jul 1, 2020
S2:E4 - Tour de Lance
The main focus is on the ESPN 30 for 30 - Lance. The nihilists give the history of Lance’s claim to fame and then of course the downfall of winning 7 Tour de France’s in a row while doping. It is a bitter pill to swallow when it comes to his Cancer foundation which has done some amazing strides in cancer research, however many cannot get over the fact that Lance lied so many times.

S2:E3 - Feels Like the First Time
….and no we’re not talking about your high school prom here. We’re talking about debut albums that outshined everything else in an artist’s catalog. That’s not to say these artists didn’t have other amazing albums, but sometimes it just feels better the very first time.
