NFL Playoffs COVID-19 Bubble? NFL Legend Brian Westbrook's Thoughts
While the NFL won't suspend its season due to a single COVID-19 outbreak or individual cases across the league, that's not the big picture that should be the priority. While regular-season games still draw massive ratings, which puts money in the league's pocket, the NFL Playoffs is where the real cash is earned. It's a point driven home by Philadelphia Eagles legend Brian Westbrook appearing with Dave Briggs on Sportsnaut. Creating a bubble, even multiple, isn't realistic for a 32-team league with 53-man rosters and dozens of essential staff. However, creating two bubble sites for the 14-team NFL Playoffs is far more manageable. The NFL reportedly started considering a bubble for the playoffs before the regular season and there is a growing belief it will happen. There will be complicating factors that make it difficult to pull off, but a bubble might be the only way for the NFL Playoffs to go on without any issues.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

NFL Legend Brian Westbrook on Tom Brady & the Best NFL QBs
Overall, it's been an up-and-down season for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers' offense. He hasn't quite lived up to the expectations some had for him entering the year. But this is the reality for a 43-year-old quarterback, even an all-time great. As Philadelphia Eagles legend Brian Westbrook brings up, inconsistent performances are inevitable. But while Father Time has diminished some of Brady's skills, leading to deterioration and even a few mental mistakes. There's still reason for optimism. Brady joined the Buccaneers for a few reasons, with the supporting cast and coaching staff playing a pivotal role in the decision. Arians has one of the best offensive minds of his generation and a healthy receiving duo of Evans and Chris Godwin is exceptional.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Next NFL QB Benched, NBA Finals, Minnesota Twins Are Cancelled
NFL odds suggest a quarterback changeSam Darnold, New York Jets (3-1 odds) Off to an 0-3 start, it’s not surprising to see NFL odds pointing to a change at quarterback for the New York Jets. The major issue there is, who takes over? Is Joe Flacco healthy enough? Darnold is the most likely to see the bench according to prop bets available. That’s not a surprise given he threw two interceptions that were returned for touchdowns last week. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Miami Dolphins (4-1 odds) This is the one that makes some sense on the surface, knowing who the backup is. However, it could be a while before rookie Tua Tagovailoa sees the field after Ryan Fitzpatrick’s Week 3 performance in a win over the Jaguars. I wouldn’t expect a sudden short leash in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks. It’s also important to note that Tagovailoa missed practice on Wednesday with an illness. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (5-1 odds) After Herbert got the surprise start in Week 2, he hasn’t offered a huge reason why the Los Angeles Chargers should go back to Tyrod Taylor. However,, head coach Anthony Lynn refuses to officially name Herbert the starter, saying the job goes back to Taylor once he’s healthy again. It looks like the veteran will miss Week 4 with his rib injury. There’s no chance Herbert is benched this week if Taylor can’t go. Dwayne Haskins, Washington Football Team (6-1 odds) With the Washington Football Team off to a 1-2 start, Dwayne Haskins has yet to impress in year two. His numbers are down across the board this season. It doesn’t appear that Haskins has improved since last year. Washington actually has two viable backups with plenty of NFL experience in that of Alex Smith and Kyle Allen. Playing the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, we’ll see how short the leash is for Haskins. Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings (10-1 odds) The Minnesota Vikings are off to a terrible 0-3 start. There are many fans in Minnesota calling for the head of quarterback Kirk Cousins. While he seems to always be around controversy, the Vikings really don’t have a better option. According to PFF, in Week 3 Cousins was the most pressured quarterback since Week 12 of last season. The Vikings need to find a way to protect their quarterback, no matter who is under center. Don’t expect a benching in Minnesota any time soon.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

With the changing of the guard from Jason Garrett to Mike McCarthy, could this mean that the Cowboys are Super Bowl contenders in 2020? Today on the NFL Reckless Speculation podcast we're talking about every Dallas Cowboys game on the schedule for 2020 and giving our predictions.Jess Haynie from InsideTheStar.com joins TC on the podcast to wax philosophical on the Cowboys season in 2020. Jess - and you can follow him on the Twitter right here - isn't as optimistic as TC is when it comes to how many games Dallas will win, yet he's got them making the playoffs. The Cowboys season starts in Los Angeles against the Rams and both Jess and TC believe that's going to be a loss on the schedule. However, fear not Cowboys Nation as the team will go on a roll after that including TC's prediction on a blowout win against the Seahawks in Seattle. The worst game of the season for the Dallas Cowboys seems to be a trap game scheduled for late-October in Washington, D.C. Both guys think that's definitely a potential loss for the Dak Prescott led Cowboys. The game-by-game predictions continue on with the guys once agreeing that the Ravens game in Baltimore will test the mettle of the defense which no longer includes Pro Bowl cornerback Byron Jones. In the end, there's a prediction for every game on the schedule including a potential Super Bowl preview in Week 9 against Mike Tomlin's Pittsburgh Steelers. It's going to be a good year in Dallas for the Cowboys and their fans. Miami Dolphins 2020 Season Preview & Predictions with DolphinsTalk.com
What if Tua Tagovailoa has a good year, yet the Miami Dolphins still end with the #1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson is coming off another monster season? Today on the NFL Reckless Speculation podcast we're talking about the 2020 season for the Miami Dolphins and how they would handle this situation.Tom Ernisse from DolphinsTalk.com joins TC to talk about a team that has the worst defense and the worst offensive line in 2019 could turn the page and end up in the playoffs this year. Tom - and you can follow him on the Twitter right here - believes that much more likely than the Dolphins landing the #1 overall pick in 2021.Brian Flores is a much better head coach than Adam Gase, and the Miami Dolphins and set to enjoy the benefits of the work that was put in in 2019 with a much improved 2020 season. With Xavien Howard and Bryon Jones attempting to remind Dolphins fans of Patrick Surtain and Sam Madison, plus with the addition of Noah Igbinoghene via the draft, the secondary in Miami is tight.Meanwhile on offense... Yikes. The good news is that 'Fitzmagic' is back in case Tua isn't ready to go by Week 1. Though it seems Ryan FItzgerald won't be needed, as the news on Tagovailoa is nothing but positive. The worrisome part is whether the skill players around Tua are good enough. And then there's that awful offensive line from 2019. However, with the additions of PLAYER NAME at center, plus draft picks Austin Jackson (who may need more seasoning) and Robert Hunt, the line will be improved for the Miami Dolphins in 2020.Finally, the Tom and TC talk about who's the last great skill position player the Dolphins had on the roster, and the last great quarterback to suit up in Miami. Today on the NFL Reckless Speculation podcast we're talking about the 2020 season for the New York Jets.Joe Caporoso from TurnOnTheJets.com joins TC to talk about how the Jets can surprise in 2020 and make the playoffs. TC believes there's a path with only four losses on the schedule at the moment. Joe - and you can follow him on the Twitter right here - is a little more reserved when it comes to the number of wins the Jets will post in 2020. After all, he's a long-suffering New York Jets follower and knows the team hasn't made the playoffs nine times in a row. Nine times? Yes, Principal Ed Rooney... If the Houston Texans are open to trading Deshaun Watson and head coach Bill O'Brien wants to compete immediately, a trade with the Minnesota Vikings makes sense. The Miami Dolphins have the pieces to make the Texans seriously consider moving Deshaun Watson and completely retooling their roster.
