In a world where news podcasts are all the rage, our is the one that decides to change it up a bit. After 4 years of doing this silly little thing, we ask ourselves “What if we went about it differently?” This was the result. So put on your sweatpants and lean back in your chair. Another week for Politics to go off the rails a little. We’re right here to talk about it! We read an email, mock the news briefs and then gaze at the slow dismantling of the Liberal party. What a time to be alive.

You COULD listen to a professional news broadcast that recounts the events of the day in perfect detail, OR you could listen to two people enthusiastically try to make sense of it all.

As you know, the Newsfriends podcast never shy’s away from serious topics: like selling snow huts as a topical real estate joke, getting a zombie outbreak by way of deer and Discussing what to do about people that ‘defect’ from ISIS… wait, is that right? we’re tackling that one?

Well, since we recorded the podcast much earlier this week, not too much has happened since the last one. But one thing that certainly did happen was the most boring Super Bowl ever. Talking about Advertisements and Adam Levine’s nipples were a far more interesting conversation than the buzz that didn’t happen about the game itself.So that’s where we’re at this week.

It’s that time again, where we use the beginning of the year to assess our mental health. But before we even talk about what ails. We chat about furries, killers and advertisements. So really, what is there to even rant about? clearly everything is fine and it’s routine as usual.

WHAT A WEEK HUH!? It seems like it was a non stop new cycle about a little boy and old man staring at each other to a beating drum. Then the left had their time to shine for being something that we only ever see the right be. What can I say, people are weird. I mean look at our Host, he complains about a shitty t-shirts that people shouldn’t buy.But aside from shitty t-shirts, and threatening children, we can all agree that people are JUST TERRIBLE.

It’s the first NewsFriends podcast of 2019, and what better way to get into it then playing catchup in the form of a Q&A. A very short Q&A, like 4 questions, and then a longer discussion about millennials. It’s almost like a regular podcast, BUT NOT QUITE!

It’s that time again for the last NewsFriends podcast of the year, where Michael does his best to look into all the stories that were pretty significant in 2018.
