Mike, being the oldest of four siblings, learned the struggles of leadership at an early age. The Charlotte native and former football student-athlete graduated with honors from Appalachian State University. He first entered the world of motorsports in 2006 as a member of a NASCAR Pit Crew. Chad and his wife were high school sweethearts with a resolve to never divorce, but they didn’t get any instruction on how to stay married and they didn’t realize how broken we were. They thought they were normal, but "normal marriages" in both of their families usually ended in divorce.  Chad and Marla didn't divorce but their struggle could have destroyed their marriage. Military service, college, different shifts, kids, and being ill equipped makes for a difficult marriage.
