It's been a couple weeks, but we are finally back with our Guardians of the Galaxy review. As big fans of the original film we were both very excited to see how this film would close out the trilogy. There is a lot of movie to discuss and we are here to break it all down. We hope you enjoy the podcast.

The Mandalorian ended it's third season with a finale that had a few great moments but also felt unsatisfying and messy. Subplots were rushed through, some story threads were abandoned and ultimately, we land at the question of what was this season all for? In this podcast we recap the finale and talk about where this story is heading.

Lots to talk about in this weeks podcast. We have the very strong Chapter 23 of, "The Mandalorian," as well as a bunch of news from Star Wars Celebration. Three new Star Wars films are coming our way and we cannot wait. We discuss all of that as well as the new Harry Potter series announced for HBO Max, or just Max, or whatever it is going to be called.

The Mandalorian's third season continues to be a mixed bag. Some of it is great and a lot of fun, but some of it also leaves us wanting something more. Chapters 21 and 22 are a great example of this. There is some sci-fi world-building, some interesting storytelling, but also rushed resolutions and story that doesn't scale. In this podcast we recap what we loved and what we didn't about both episode.

This week's episode of, "The Mandalorian," offered a bird attack and a big reveal. While the first few episodes had some ups and downs, this episode really turned out to be a lot of fun, and we could not be happier for the actor who had a wonderful cameo. "The Last of Us," season finale was an intense bit of storytelling that really delivered.  "The Mandalorian," has had some ups and downs this season, but the second and third episodes were improvements over the first. We had some concerns that, "The Last of Us," could be drifting into, "Walking Dead," territory in episode four, by introducing a subplot that we thought could bog down the show. Boy, are we glad to be wrong.  Episode five is stellar. The fourth episode of "The Last of Us," gave us some much needed development of Joel and Ellie's relationship. While that was a great aspect of this episode, the Kansas City QZ subplot gave us some serious, "Walking Dead," vibes and not in a good way. In this podcast, we share our thoughts on the episode.

The 3rd episode of, "The Last of Us," is an incredible piece of storytelling. It is about 2 people who find a fairytale in a hell-scape. It is deeply moving and very impactful. The second episode of, "The Last of Us," continues on the excellent world-building and efficient storytelling that started in the premiere episode. "Andor," delivered big in it's first season finale. "Bix Road," was a master class in building tension and paying off moments in the story. "House of the Dragon," has had a fantastic first season. The narrative has been tight and cohesive, the character development strong. The finale episode of the season, "The Black Queen," finds Team Black dealing with the aftermath of the death of Viserys.
