Hi Nerds!! This week, all of us here at Nerd Chat were devastated when we heard the tragic news of Gene Wilder’s passing. In honor of Wilder, this episode is all about one of his greatest films (and our favorite creepy “children’s” movie): the 1971 cult classic, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” Join us as we discuss the most delicious looking treats in Wonka’s candy room, those iconic (and strange) literary references, and which annoying child we would most like to punch. JK Rowling officially sanctioned--but did not write--this new Harry Potter play, set 19 years after "The Deathly Hallows" ended. The play follows Harry's son, Albus, and Draco's son, Scorpius, as they steal a time turner on a mission to save Cedric Diggory's life and destroy the entire "Harry Potter" canon as we know it! If that sounds like bad fan fiction, that's because that's basically what this is. Forget everything you thought you knew about your favorite characters, because this play rewrites them in the most unflattering ways possible!
