Bill Floyd was born in 1934 in the middle of the great depression in Memphis, Tn. As a young man he enlisted in the Air-force where he served all over the world. Towards the end of his military career he served in air-sea rescue where, unknown to him at the time he participated in some of the first test runs to rescue the space capsule from the ocean that would eventually bring the astronauts back from the first moon landing! There are many other interesting events in Mr. Floyds story that make it a pleasure to listen to and I know you won't be disappointed! enjoy!

Glen Studebaker and his wife Cara started Nigels Notions almost by accident. After some tinkering in the garage Glen built a lamp using an old brake rotor that he cleaned up and some industrial pipe, upon showing it to his wife Cara she liked it so much she encouraged him to build some more, and so he did. He began selling them locally and now has an Etsy store and a facebook page where he sells them. His lamps are truly unique and will surely be a conversation piece in your space. This is part 2 of my visit to Sunshine Manor where we interviewed some amazing individuals about and learned a little about their lives. In this episode I spoke with Terry Nelson and Jesse Phelps and I am grateful to them both for taking time out of their day to sit down and talk to me. They each have unique stories to share and I am glad they agreed to allow me to share them all of you.

Elsie May Wood and Maxine Sifford grew up just across the St. Francis river from one another. With Elsie growing up in Northeast Arkansas and Maxine growing up in Southeast Missouri. They have both lived very interesting lives and helped make this wonderful area of our country what it is today. Join me as they share a little bit about life around here and what it was like growing up from the 1920's and beyond. I want to thank these two great ladies for taking the time to share some memories with me. 

Bertha Leigh Moss was born on September 4, 1950 and grew up in South Louisiana in the 50's and 60's. After living in extreme poverty for the first part of her life, her mother gave her and her siblings up for adoption. After only finishing the 8th grade she eventually went back to school and got a G.E.D. and later in her career earned a college degree. Through the many hardships in her life she always remained positive and maintained a strong faith in God. Today she is retired and enjoys working with children through her part time teaching. She is my mom and the best one I could have ever asked for! Love you mom.

Randy and Sonya Hyde own and operate Hyde Park Cafe in downtown Paragould, Ar. They started this restaurant almost 2 years ago with some old family recipes as well as new recipes that were created by them. They take great pride in the amazing food they serve and they make their customers feel right at home. Check them out at 113 W. Main St in historic downtown Paragould.

Spencer Bounds is the owner of Suspence Entertainment located in Jonesboro, Ar. Recently Spencer took some time to sit down with me and tell me the story of how he started his business by borrowing his dads speakers and some lights from his church and grew that into one of the biggest entertainment providers in Northeast Arkansas! Wade Stark is the owner of Save It Again and this week Wade shares his story of how he got into converting old video to a digital format and preserving a lifetime of memories for his customers. I have personally used Save It Again to convert some of my older home movies and he does a phenomenal job and he really cares about his customers. 

This week we interview the vendors who set up at the Crowleys Ridge Vintage Market located at Parker Pioneer Homestead south of Harrisburg, Ar. I want to thank all of the vendors who let me interrupt their day for a brief interview, Also a special thanks to Kim Harkey for allowing me to come out and and talk to vendors. Brief note: About half way through the day my recorder malfunctioned and I lost all of the recordings I had up to that point. I tried my best to get back to everyone I could remember that I had interviewed, unfortunately I'm not sure if I made it back to everyone.
