How Tough Conversations Lead to Clarity and Ultimately Peace
It's easy to run away from or put off tough conversations! However, those conversations are a gift that can positively impact your life.I recently prepared myself for a tough conversation by activating the things I could control which were: listening for understanding, speaking my truth and asking for what I needed. I then surrendered the things I could not control which was the other person's truth and ultimately the outcome of the conversation.I did not receive the news I wanted, but I gained something even more powerful. I left that meeting with the data I needed to gain clarity and ultimately a peace that surpassed my understanding! Have the conversation...You Got This!

You are Enough
You are Enough -We will explore five things that keep you from believing that you are enough, stopping you from reaching your definition of success and most importantly disturbing your peace. The five things that have you believing the lie that You Are Not Enough:1. Mind Games = Watch the story, stop the narrative, and resume "real life."2. Social Media Facade = Comparing yourself to someone's "perceived life"3. Imposter Syndrome = You belong in the room!4. Stuck in the past = Look back but don't stay!5. Procrastination = Self Deception and Self SabotagePeace and anxiety can not co-exist. Anxiety is present when you feel you aren't enough. When Angst knocks at your door I want you to ask it for it's RSVP (which it won't have) . Anxiety thought it could once again crash your peace party - NOPE - You can now kindly escort it to the exit! You don't have to sit by while life lives you...you have a choice to live your life and reclaim your peace! Surrender vs. Submission - There is a difference
Put your seat belt on....Surrender and submission are two very different things! In this episode we explore the differences through real life experiences. It's important to know the difference as you decide how you are going to live your best life, how you interact with people and how you allow people to show up in your life! In this episode I share the story of one of my life coach clients (with her permission of course ) and my own story. When I surrender - I breathe easier. I let go of control, the need to control and the lie that I'm in control. When I'm in a moment of submission I feel as if I'm giving up who I am for some perceived payback or reward. Does Everyone Deserve a Front Row Seat In Your Life?
What are your rules of engagement for those who want a front row or at least main floor seating in your life? I know rules of engagement and life don’t seem to match but they have everything in common at least when it comes to your peace. We set rules of engagement at work and in business, but isn’t your life just as or even more important? Isn’t it interesting that we will safeguard all things work related but not ourselves, our spirit, and our well being? When we buy tickets for a concert or a game there are non-negotiable categories: Front Row, Floor Seats, Mezzanine, Balcony, Waitlisted and Sold out! Those categories also apply for life and who you decide will occupy the designations. In this episode I share the five things I assess to determine who deserves that front row in my life:1. Those who love me unconditionally.2. Those who do not judge me on my last act, because it makes them feel better.3. Those who recognize it's not all about them.4. The non-needy 5. The relationships that don't serve me Please remember to subscribe (via your subscriber of choice) leave comments, and share this podcast with a friend! The music: Always Believe recorded my "ME" - Marlin Williams. Who Would You Be Without Your Story
Who Would You Be Without Your Story? Whew...How many times have you punished yourself for decisions you've made in the past? How many of those things are still shaping the narrative of your life? Holding on to the stories of the past without using them as a springboard to heal, is self-imposed pain and doesn't serve you.Trust me I should have a doctorate degree in holding on to my story even when it was detrimental to everything. Often times we sleep walk through life, comfortable with the story, and numb to the pain and destruction. Experience has taught me that there is another way to live!I share a story during this episode of how experiences of feeling unworthy in my youth, stayed with me during my adult relationships and the work I needed to do to break that false narrative. For you, your story could be about love, relationships, finances, unachieved goals, and the list goes on! When your stuff is left unchecked it will show up in your present day real life experience and will be the foundation of your story. There are five tips shared to get you closer to that peace you deserve:1. Ask the question - "How is this story serving you?"2. Take a life sabbatical3. Make a different decision4. Find one friend that will call you out on your B.S.5. Practice, Revert, and Try againThis is your journey and I'm excited to share it with you. Your Peace is totally non-negotiable!
