must NERD! tv MCU Agent Carter s01e08
Hosted by: Scott J Grunewald & Tony Hofmann   Scott and Tony discuss the spectacular final episode of the eight episode season of Agent Carter. “Valediction” sets Peggy and Dottie on a crash course to a major showdown with the life of Howard Stark and all of New York in the balance. This episodes topics include defending the fans nerding out over Peggy’s clothing and make-up, the chances of a second season, the importance of friendships and non-romantic love to the series and the wonderful acting of Hayley Atwell. Episode Quotes: “I still want to kill Thompson but no more than usual” “Just since I left the car?” “LIke a nest of spiders. With very short legs.” “Isn’t this fun?” “Ida. That’s her name. I knew I’d remember. Heh. Steel trap” “I know my value. Anyone elses opinion doesn’t matter.”   Produced by: Nerdy Things That Dont Suck Dot Com     Awesome theme music: "Drop the Bass" from "Trip Reporter" by Ryan Iyengar (Buy it!)   @NerdyThings_TDS, @SJGrunewald & @TonyHofmann NerdyThingsThatDontSuck on Facebook

Must NERD! tv MCU Agents of SHIELD S02E11
Scott and Tony discuss the recently released third and final Avengers Age of Ultron trailer, clear up a few misconceptions about what was in the trailer and and toss out a few nerd theories about what it might all mean. After a wonderful eight week Agent Carter break it is actually good to have Agent’s of SHIELD back, and finally find out what happens with the newly Inhuman Skye. The season continues be be excellent, and, sorry, we kind of talked about it a lot so this episode is a little longer than normal. It may have been shorter had we not spent a substantial amount of time discussing how Hydra constructs their custom Hydra furniture.   Quotes: “You’re just different now, and there’s nothing wrong with that.” “That’s inhuman”   Produced by: Nerdy Things That Dont Suck Dot Com   Awesome theme music: "Drop the Bass" from "Trip Reporter" by Ryan Iyengar (Buy it!)

must NERD tv! Week in NERD e03
Scott and Tony discuss the upcoming Marvel crossover Secret Wars and some of the various Marvel crossovers and eras that will be explored during the event. Including revisiting the 90’s Jim Lee era of the X-men, an all woman Avengers and a gang of Ghost Riders. They also contemplate what the Neill Blomkamp sequel to Alien will look like and how it will deal with the third and fourth film in the series as well as Prometheus and its upcoming sequel. In this episode Scott does some Nerdpicking and revisits Thor: The Dark World and Ironman 3 and makes the case that the two films should be re-examined by nerds because the films are better than the general nerd perception of them tends to be.   Links:Silver Surfer Vol. 1 - New Dawn TPB - Written by: Dan Slott - Art by: Mike Allred & Laura Allred

must NERD! tv MCU Agent Carter s01e07
Marvel's Agent Carter Season 1 Episode 7 "Snafu"   Written by: Chris Dingess   Directed by: Vincent Misiano   Scott and Tony gush over the penultimate episode of what is hopefully just the first of many seasons of Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter.   Agent Carter has consistently had incredibly dense and intelligent writing with exciting and memorable direction but “Snafu” was the best the show has ever been. Not to mention some flawless acting by the entire cast, with a special nod to Shea Wingham who really brought it this week.

must NERD tv! Week in NERD e02
Scott and Tony are joined by Wendell to discuss Marvel’s Agents of Shield’s return, get serious about rape culture, talk Constantine renewal, the Preacher TV series and the Wheel of Time Pilot debacle.   For the topic of the week we discuss some of the specific details about the Marvel and Sony deal to bring Spider-man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and whether it should be Peter Parker or Miles Morales. Scott kicks off the first in a series of segments called Shitty X-Men. And somehow Tony implicated Morgan Freeman in the deviant crimes of otters. Not sure how that happened.   Links:   HeroForge - Get your custom 3D printed miniature here!   Produced by:

Must Nerd! tv MCU Agent Carter S01E06
Scott and Tony discuss Marvel’s Agent Carter episode 06 “A Sin to Err”. The series continues to move along at a breakneck pace. We get a return of the great Peggy/Jarvis banter, more creepy Dottie being creepy, Sousa and Thompson are put in an uncomfortable position by Angie & Jarvis cleans up after Howard Starks premature evacuations.   Tony also demonstrated the correct way to perform "air quotes" while Scott talks about the new "dot/dash communication method" that is all the rage these days. We also discusses what being Russian on a TV show means.   “Would you look at that, you really can keep your mouth shut when you try.”   “The darkest gates to the abyss.”   “What’s your grandmothers name?” “Gam-gam.”   Links:

Must NERD! tv MCU Agents of SHIELD S02E04
Scott and Tony discuss the best episode of the new season and the wonderful fight scene between Agent May and her Hydra Doppelganger. Table headbutt! We also discuss Skye’s serious bangs, Tony continues to struggle with remembering the names of characters on a show he just watched and has a list written down in front of him.   And, sadly, we spend far too much time talking about Tripps nipples and coin the term “nipple gravy”. We’re very sorry for that. Very, very sorry. OMG so sorry.   Produced by: Nerdy Things That Dont Suck Dot Com Awesome theme music: "Drop the Bass" from "Trip Reporter
