Show #1 – Looper – Time loops – Two Geeks and a Microphone with Falconroll | Movie theme discussions | Movie reviews
Loper (2012) is reviewed in the first episode of our movie theme discussion of time loops. Shawn and John, a pair of accused and self-confessed film snobs, of Falconroll discuss auteur Rian Johnson’s creative story of a world in which time travel has turned the future into a dystopia for many.
We spend a few minutes introducing the format of our new podcast and establishing rules (especially for spoilers) before diving into a review and analysis of the film. Segments are broken up into a very brief plot synopsis, roll call of the main cast and crew, detailed review of the plot, pros and cons of the film, and conclusions and recommendations from Shawn and John. Scattered throughout the podcast are many tangents in which we go off topic to discuss Star Wars, Brad Bird, Breaking Bad, chick flicks, sci-fi movie cliches, and various other tidbits from American pop culture. So, join us for what we hope to be an entertaining hour-ish long show in which we butcher the pronunciation of Paul Dano’s name several times.
