Chapter Fifty-five One who preserves Te (virtue) in fullness, Is to be compared to an innocent infant. Hence, no poisonous insects will sting him. No wild beasts will attack him. No birds of prey will pounce upon him. In governing one’s life, learn from an infant as such: Its bones are soft, its tendons are tender, yet its grip is firm. No knowing the unity of male and female, Yet the infant’s sexual organ is aroused. This is because its life essence is pure and complete. Crying all day, yet the infant’s voice does not turn hoarse. Such is the perfect harmony. To know harmony is called “Everlasting.” To know everlasting is called “Enlightenment.” To overprotect one’s life is called “Ill omen.” To let one’s mind follow the emotional impulse is called “Compulsion.” When things reach their prime they start to age and decline. This is the life that is diminishing, which shall not reach the ultimate essence. When I think of invention and innovation, I go into my creative space. And in my creative space, I see myself as a child. Innocent, pure and full of wonder. This is an imaginary place where I can decide to control or allow manifestation. There I am free to do, have and be whatever I desire. Anyone can do these things. In mindless freedom I dance wildly, shake unshamefully as much as I want to twist while embodying my heterosexuality. In this moment I can create, build, write and record events that are the purest of displays. These displays still have ego yes but are the best representation of what a shared interest can look like. A development community that embraces the difference in people, allow the sharing in a passionate way, saying what one feels what one must say, however presenting undoctored evidence of claims. We should learn from the infants on how to govern We are a compulsive nation, fathered from governmental protections More security is more freedom taken away. Slowly but surely we are in decay. America is past it’s prime and is now in an age of decline. We will not reach our ultimate essence as a people as such but a new reformation is taking place. How to identify it is unknown but one may see the emergence of a new nation but not before the horrors that will take place in the near term. More death than one should know, but still technology will move along on its merry way further disrupting the mental feedback loops of the people and dumbing down of the people. This injustice is more than a BLM movement, or political bias. This injustice is happening upon us all. As a child I saw horrors as many of you may have as well and our ego and experiences will play into our creativity just as mine. The fact that our country is dying sickens me, but also gives me hope to know that my voice can be heard. The playing field of communication is level but the business model must change. The advertising and data collection usage of FB, Google and of tech giants will have to eventually change practices or faces total disruption. That change may be decades from today or just disguise itself in another way but truth be told this is not going away in my life time. Chapter 53 Tao Te Ching Podcast Series Chapter Fifty-three If I were to have the very slight insight, I would live in accordance with the Great Tao. My only fear is, to go astray from Tao while spreading it. Great Tao is smooth and plain, yet people prefer the devious bypaths. Hence, the government is corrupted with luxury and splendor. The people were exhausted with labor and left the fields to be wasted and the granaries depleted. Under such practices, the officials would wear fine clothes, Carry sharp swords and indulge themselves in good food and drinks. They crave with greed to possess great wealth. Such is said to commit the crime of robbery and certainly is not the Way of Tao. Chapter 52 Tao Te Ching Podcast Series Chapter Fifty-two The beginning of the universe is Tao, It is the mother of all. By knowing the Mother, we will know her creations. By knowing the creation of all lives, one can then return to the origin and abide by the Mother. It is in this way that although the body dies, the spiritual nature will not perish. To abide by the Mother of Tao is to keep guard on one’s sensory desire and shut the doors of temptation so as to prevent one from pursuing outwards. Thus, by doing so one’s whole life may be preserved from exhaustion and pains. However, if on the contrary one indulges oneself in the pleasure of desire and opens the door of temptation to pursue outwards, Then one’s true nature will be lost and hence is beyond rescuing. Those who are aware of the essence of the original nature are said to be enlightened. Those who abide by the gentleness of Tao are said to be strong. Those who employ the glory of Tao, And were able to return to the true nature, are ensured of no distress and is said to embrace the Nature Tao. Others say, we understand because you husband left you. Misery loves company Wife loses her husband, secratary and the IT guy Wife is devastated, she goes through the same feelings of loss and remorse. Then she says, these feelings I am not happy with with so I am going to change it. She gets the self help book and the CDs and joins the community center. She enrolls back into school and a few yrs later she gets her degree and a yr later she lands a great job and at that job she marries an executive and the travel the world and fall in love. 20 yrs later when the others bring up her husband leaving she says,... that was the best thing that ever happened to me.
