In part 1 of the inaugural episode of the More Than Just A Game podcast series, I discuss the implications that concussions have on an individuals mental health. On the show my long time friend, Marco Scalena, joins as a guest sharing his story. Marco was a AA goalie who had a promising career in hockey but all of that was halted by a concussion that would change his life forever.  Marco talks about where his hockey career was at when the concussion occurred, how that lead to his anxiety and depression and where he is at now in his life. This is Marco's story. 

In the Intro Episode, I talk about a few things- how hockey is factually a "white male-dominated sport", Val James and Jackie Robinson. You're probably wondering how does Baseball end up in there? Check out the Intro Episode to find out! I also talk about the purpose and goal of this podcast, why I started this podcast and myself of course- I figured I would give you an idea who I am.
