When you're making a documentary film it is important that you get consent from the participants who appear in your film, or you might find yourself in quite a pickle. I know, sometimes it can be a little unclear as to when and who you need to get consent from. In some cases, a narrator will provide context and commentary. While in others, the storyteller may be a presenter who appears on screen to share key information and guide the audience through. You’ve come a long way since we started this journey, but now it’s getting very real - it is time to start working out exactly where you will be filming. Naturally, preparation is key!
