Mood AF 2:9 - 'How many of us have them?'
Hey, my babes! In this week’s episode, I’m giving you all tea, all shade & all offense about Cultivating female relationships, especially during your mid to late ’20s. I can’t lie, ladies, we need to be more honest with ourselves and with our friends. We should be more open to hearing our friends out and holding ourselves accountable for specific behaviors. As we get older it’s imperative that we continue to foster our relationships with each other and with ourselves. We should be more honest about the things we want out of our friendships. We should communicate more, we should aspire for more for each other, and definitely be honest when we’re not feeling great and projecting that onto our friends. So I beg, please listen to this with knowing I want growth for each and every single one of us, and I want us all to be better. AND I THROW SHADE AT MYSELF THIS EPISODE TOO. It would be extremely hypocritical if I didn’t. Xo, Nikeita --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/moodaf/support

Mood AF 2:8 - 'The Ugly Side of Healing'
Hey, my babes! Welcome back to another episode of Mood AF! Today I want to get into All Tea, All Shade & All Offense about something that has been weighing on me for a while. The ugly side of healing and growth within self. As some of you know, and most of you don’t, I have been active in therapy for a little over a year now, and I feel like it’s time to share my experiences, while also giving you all the ugly truth. Especially because social media tends to glorify healing & growth to be ‘flowers and daisies’ and ‘happiness’… when in all reality, it’s not that simple. It’s not that easy. It’s not always happy. It includes being lonely. It includes feeling like you’re lost. It’s about realizing and becoming aware of specific behaviors and setting boundaries which can be really tough sometimes. Some days are a lot harder than others. It’s about realizing sometimes that you’re the toxic person, and that you let people treat you in a way that was less than desirable but knowing you want to change. Knowing that you desire peace and you’re capable of giving it to yourself. It’s about being okay with losing some of the people who you call ‘friends’, family, etc. Also, I’ll be providing some helpful links below if you should want to start your own journey with therapy! Please feel free to reach out to me if you wanna talk about your journey as well! Here at Mood AF, we are a safe space. Mood AF 2:7 - 'No Money, More Problems'
Hey, my babes! Figured it’s been a while since we spoke last. Hope you guys have been well with the circumstances. Now that we’re in ‘21 it’s less talk, more action. Consider this a new start. Boom. Hello. My name is Nikeita, creator, and host of Mood AF Podcast. As I like to say ‘Live from the crib’ from wherever that may be for you! Today we’re gonna get into all tea, all shade, and all offense about Millennials and the job market. Basically, I wanted to let you all in on what the reality is for many: It’s a bitch trying to get a job during a pandemic. So I’m here to document it! Also, we know I want you to be your most comfortable with your favorite cocktail/mocktail and or paper of choice 😏 Shoutouts to my cocktail of choice: J.T.S. Mood AF 2:6 - New York, New York
Hey my babes! Welcome back to another episode of Mood AF! In this episode we get into all tea, all shade and all offense about housing in NYC. This episode was mainly inspired by a Tik Tok that really went into depth about what an ACTUAL day in NYC looks like (P.S.: It’s not what you see on Tik Tok). Today you’ll meet Annie, the young lady behind that same video. We discuss what our home lives are like, why it’s imperative that people quit telling native NY’ers to just ‘move’ when we complain about how expensive it is, and of course our disdain for some of these realtors. Check out Annie’s article on Sunset Park residents fearing losing their homes due to gentrification https://anniecabreu.wordpress.com/2020/10/10/sunset-park-residents-feel-like-theyre-losing-their-grasp-on-their-home/ As always, follow us on all our socials: @moodafpodcast (Twitter, Instagram) Watch the visual - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBqedrfCx1EjEJRP49mMPXw Follow Nikeita on all socials as well: @nikeita_ --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/moodaf/support

Mood AF 2:5 - forgiveness is a social construct
Hey, my babes! Hope you’ve missed me just as much as I’ve missed you! In this week's episode, we get into all tea, all shade, and all offense into something I can relate to heavily - a strained relationship with a parent, and most importantly .. not forgiving them. This week, you’ll come with me as I take you on a little journey into something that only seldom knows. I’m currently mourning a loss and it’s all for the better - as morbid as that sounds. Mood AF 2:4 - An open letter to my Black women
Hey, my babes!! In this episode, we gonna catch up (but of course - it’s been a minute) but in today’s episode, we loved on all Black women today. No shade, no tea (unless if you count those few minutes about other people having Black women messed up) and the only offense thrown is at those who don’t protect Black women the way they should. As always, I wanna thank you guys for being such a dope audience and loving me no matter how long it takes for you to hear from me. Just know I’m doing my best through the times, as I hope you all are as well. 2020 has been wicked to some, good to some, but most importantly it’s just taught us all one important thing: REST WHEN NEEDED AND DO WHAT FEELS GOOD TO YOU. Mood AF 2:3 - happy belated birthday Nik
Hey my babes! In today’s episode I wanted to roast myself lmao, and just tell you about some of my shenanigans as a lil late birthday celebration with all of y’all. (My birthday was 6.14) but this was something I had wanted to do before my birthday & then I procrastinated like a typical Gemini (whoops) and here we are! Enjoy this as it is lighthearted and carefree. I love y’all. I’ll see y’all soon. #BlackLivesMatter --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/moodaf/support

Mood AF 2:2 - a personal rant
Hey my babes, I know I’ve been gone for sometime. As we know, miss rona came & destroyed a lot of lives, and left us all f*cked up. Most importantly: As a Black woman I couldn’t sit on this any longer. BLACK LIVES MATTER. PERIOD. So please, understand this was more of a rant & less of an ‘episode’ because there was no tea to spill, no shade to throw, and no offense to be taken. I’ll see y’all soon. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/moodaf/support

Mood AF: Episode 16: Everybody’s favorite ‘A’ word.
Hey my babes! Welcome back to another episode of Mood AF. In today’s episode we’re getting into ALL tea, ALL shade and ALL offense about a very sensitive topic: Abortion. What a lot of you actually don’t know, is that I myself had an abortion when I was 20. I was in a space where - looking back on where I was extremely naive to a lot of different things, I was in a pretty fucked up space in my life... but this was a story I needed to tell because me making this decision in turn let me be where I’m at now: Making that decision close to 5 years ago, I felt it was imperative to put myself and my career first as opposed to just having a kid and not fully thinking about everything in the process. NOW THIS IS NOT TO SHAME YOUNG MOMS. I give ya ALL the credit. I just know I couldn’t do it, because I wasn’t ready. I salute ALL of you that do. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/moodaf/support

Mood AF : Episode 14: Voicemail
Hey my babes. This episode is different. This is something I just needed to get off my chest. Something I needed to do to feel like myself again, or at least try to. I’ve missed you all so much, and there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes of the show, my personal life, etc. I just wanted to let you all in, and live in MY truth as I always do with each episode. I wanted you all to know where I was, what I was doing and where we’ve been at with respect to specific situations. I love you all. I’ll be back. Soon. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/moodaf/support

Mood AF: Episode 6: 'Nik'
This episode of Mood AF is close to the heart. Ironically enough, this episode was supposed to be what will now be Episode 7, and it was far too late to cancel my session, so I recorded by myself with the help of my brother Parrish (who is producing the show & also managing me... yes you read that correctly). This show gives you a deeper insight into who I am and why I may move the way I move. Mood AF: Episode 5 : 'Ziiiick Appointments'
In this week's episode of Mood AF, we discuss one of my favorite things to talk about: Dick appointments! This show wasn't planned...at ALL. Yet, it happened so organically. Tay and I have been friends for a little over a year and she is one of my girlfriends that is a little more open with her sexuality. Along came, the super dope rap collective VentureKlan to give us the male perspective and the rest as they say...is history.
