Ep. 37: Small & Large Family Logistics
Today we’re talking about family size and family dynamics. In case you weren’t aware, between the three of us, we have 16 children. Kate raised an only child, September has 10 children and Jamie has 5. Interestingly enough, between 1976 and 2015, families with only children like Kate's have gone from 11% of the population to 22% according to the Pew Research Center. It’s the fastest growing family unit in the United States. Loads of people are choosing to limit their families to one child. But is it biblical? We'll tackle that question in a future episode. But for today, we’re talking about the dynamics that different family sizes bring into play and how they affect our parenting styles.

Ep. 36: The Girl Mom
As mothers of girls, we're trying to raise up strong, Godly women in an ungodly world. A large part of who our daughters will become is deeply connected with what we model for them. We’re a blueprint. They watch how we dress, how we act, how we treat others. They’ll listen as we talk to our friends, our husband, our not-so-loving neighbors. They’ll pay attention to what we do, not what we say to do. And most importantly, they’ll observe how we live out the truth of God’s Word to the world. That might feel like a heavy burden, but it doesn’t have to be. It can be a great gift--to model Christ-likeness to the next generation of women and pass the torch on to them when they leave our homes.

Ep. 34: The Praying Mom
Nothing we do is more important than prayer, and time on our knees will bear more fruit in our children’s lives than any other activity we engage in. Prayer is powerful and the sooner we learn to harness its incredible power correctly, the better. It’s the best investment we can make in anyone’s life, especially in our children's. God instructs us to Ask, Seek, and Knock. Ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, knock and keep on knocking. He isn’t bothered by our continued coming to Him. He is still in the business of answering our prayers. We encourage you to pray for your children. Ask the Holy Spirit what to pray for specifically if you’re not sure and He will show you. Nothing is too small or too big to pray about.

Ep.32: The Theological Mom with Phylicia Masonheimer
Our theology, or lack thereof, doesn’t just affect our eternity. It also affects our today. Simple, childlike faith is the start. But as you develop a deep relationship with God, it stands to reason that you’d want to know Him better--who He is and what He does. Theology is not for the Christian elite. It is for moms like you and me. The truth is, if we’re not living with right theology, chances are, we’re not rightly reflecting our Holy God.
