#01 Regulating new mobility: Why is it so hard to do?

This episode has been produced within the context of an EU-funded project called GECKO, which is looking at what it takes to effectively regulate new mobility solutions without stifling the creative ideas behind them. We’ve brought together three stakeholders from different backgrounds and perspectives to talk about some key challenges of regulating new mobility. We have Krysia Solheim, who works in the UK for the bike sharing company nextbike, a private sector company offering a comparatively new service. We have Eetu Pilli-Sihvola from the National Transport and Communications Agency of Finland, the public sector. And we have Doris Wiederwald from AustriaTech, a non-profit-organisation that accompanies innovation processes in mobility and advises the Austrian government on implementing national and European guidelines.
