Self Care: The Importance Of A Yogis Cup
Now is the time to fill your Yoga cup! This episode is an homage to self-care in your practice. We focus on how Yoga differs from simple kindnesses that we may offer ourselves that can be in the form of spa treatments, etc. The episode also dives in to Donna Farhi's book "Yoga Mind, Body & Spirit: A Return to Wholeness" for an inside look of what the Niyama "Swadhyaya"-Self Study offers in this realm of a self-care, as well as offering the mindset we should create as we come to practice. Enjoy!

Yoga and The Military: Could there be a connection?
This is Mistik Yoga's FIRST podcast ever! It is an honor to start by covering this topic first and discussing avenues of health and healing for the men and women who have bravely served this country. This interview was with my fiancé and Marine Corps veteran Barrett Stephens. We begin by discussing his service and what led him to a Yoga practice. The bulk of the interview goes on to discuss Trauma and PTSD. Weaving together how Yoga can be a complimentary gateway in helping create ease in the life of current military and veterans. The approach in this podcast is through two sets of eyes, so as to bridge the gap a bit between those like myself who have not served in the military and those who have served. This is a clean but serious topic based podcast so please advise. Show Notes: For further information about the articles we referenced please review the following citation: 1.
