Rarely do I feel more upset than when my right to silence is trammeled. Today I'll pass along a couple of anecdotes about my becoming a shusher. We hear a lot more about our right to free speech--and that is no doubt more important. The frequent lack of recognition around the right to silence, I sense, causes the loss of it to gall me.
