Before I had my own LinkedIn profile, I ran a "Honeypot Profile" for 2 years... Mel* (*not her real name) was SO successful, she became the top salesperson. We even had recruiters calling to headhunt her - yes, really. Imagine being THAT recruiter chasing someone that didn't exist - I suppose it's karma for advertising jobs that don't exist? Anyway... I think humble-brags are cringey as f*ck. If you haven't heard of them - you 100% will have seen one. In this clip, taken from the Marketing and Stuff... episode, Mike and Dan explain what a humble-brag is, why people post them - and importantly - do they actually work?

Mike was tired of the paint by numbers format other podcasts tend to follow "so Dan, tell us a bit about yourself" - so he's invited people onto the podcast that a) he likes and b) have some strong opinions on topics around business and start-ups. No plugs for products, no backslapping, but lots of no bullshit business advice.
