Episode 19 - Forgiveness 101 [MMP19]
Forgiveness of yourself and others is the FOUNDATION of personal development and cultivating meaningful relationships with others. PD is all about failing and failing FORWARD, which you can't do without a healthy, regular practice in forgiveness. In this episode, we go SUPER in-depth on: * How to know when you're holding on to pain and what to do with it * How to redefine forgiveness for yourself to make it a more authentic practice * How to let go of things without subscribing to the dated - and honestly quite useless - adage of "forgive-and-forget" * How to forgive someone who has not apologized * How to use forgiveness as a basis for more meaningful friendships - even if the person doesn't know they're being forgiven! AND SO MUCH MORE! Not to mention, a special MUSICAL bonus in Cameron's segment, Cameron's favorite thing of the week! This podcast is now available on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher Radio, PlayerFM, Pocketcasts, Overcast, iCaster, Blubrry, and basically everywhere else, too. :) For more informations and episode notes on this podcast, check out www.meraquimagic.com/podcast To find out more about life-coaching, personal development, and Meraqui Magic workshops, go to www.meraquimagic.com To shop wearable happiness accessories (designed with positive psychology in mind) check out www.meraquimagic.com/shop - a portion of all proceeds is donated to Days for Girls International, providing women worldwide with feminine hygiene kits and sex education. Episode 18 - Speaking Your Authentic Truth (Even When It Sucks) [MMP18]
Guess what? There is NOTHING sexier, smarter, or more wonderful than your authentic truth. For real. It looks amazing on everyone and is pretty much the best accessory that money CAN'T buy. When we share our authentic truth, we cultivate honesty, confidence, and happiness within our own lives. We give ourselves permission to be our best selves and pursue that which gives us pure, unadulterated, ecstasy-level joy. When we DON'T convey our authentic truth, we create a whooole world of hurt for ourselves. We live a life that is not genuine, we displace anger and tension, we look to blame and accuse others for our unhappiness, meanwhile numbing the pain with ineffective practices. We COMPLETELY bring our personal development to a HALT. This episode deals with how to MANIFEST, ACTUALIZE, and UNDERSTAND your authentic truth, and then communicate it to others, to yourself, and to the world in a way that makes space for you to blossom into the best version of yourself that you are just WAITING to become. We'll dive into how to deal with the pain of vulnerability, what expectations are OKAY and NOT OKAY to have of yourself and others, and how to frame your thoughts and feelings in a way that is courteous, peaceful, honest, and graceful. (And of course, how to deal with the aftermath, which can either be totally awesome or totally sucky.) We will also debunk common myths surrounding sincerity and how to create more meaningful relationships with others, free of "clunky walls" and rich with love and intentional boundaries. Plus a whole bunch of other awesome schtuff. :) Enjoy! * * * * * * * * * * * * This podcast is now available on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher Radio, PlayerFM, Pocketcasts, Overcast, iCaster, Blubrry, and basically everywhere else, too. Episode 17 - Processing The Emotional Load Of Change [MMP17]
Sooo... Change is kind of a big deal. Here at the Meraqui household, we've been going through a LOT of it. So naturally, we found it only fitting to do a podcast episode about it! All change - big and small - is accompanied by some form of emotional load. An emotional load is just that: a considerable amount of feelings that you have to lug around with you as you undergo whatever change you've begun. Sometimes these are feelings of confusion, loss, fear, discomfort, etc. When we don't process that emotional load, our mind creates an understanding that change, risks, and differences are dangerous. We start to believe that change is to be SURVIVED and not THRIVED within. In this episode, we go over: * How to create a narrative of positivity surrounding your circumstance * * How to implement a mindfulness tool that you can use EVERY SINGLE DAY to check your thought processes regarding change and risk while cultivating a growth mindset * * How to start, sustain, and continue making changes that will make your life 99% more kickass * Plus a whole bunch more other rad stuff. ;) TUNE IN! * * * * * * * * * * * * This podcast is now available on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher Radio, PlayerFM, Pocketcasts, Overcast, iCaster, Blubrry, and basically everywhere else, too.
