Finally Live in Portland, Matt Braunger’s third (and best) comedy special, was filmed in The Paris, a former porno theatre. Because Portland! Shot over two nights during the 10thBridgetown Comedy Festival, “FLIP” presents the comedian/host of Advice From a Dipshit with Matt Braunger in his hometown at the height of his buffoonish powers. Like Portland, Braunger’s topics are anything but typical. Naked old men, drunk Nazis, minor anal surgery, Girl Scouts (aka the Green Mafia), friends taking acid in the Navy, an accidental oral violation in a museum, and how way too many psychedelic mushrooms brought him and his now-wife closer on the 4th of July are all examples. Anecdotal, involving, gut-busting, and above all ridiculous, Finally Live in Portland asks the question: Can an idiot also be a comic genius?
