Ep. 209 "How to Stand Out as a Diverse Candidate" with Maya Grossman
Hello, MC2C family! In the past couple of years, talk about diversity recruiting and how companies can build a team that mimics the communities that they serve is increasing. As I continue to immerse myself in this subject matter, I have come to the conclusion that there are two main reasons there is not enough diversity in top companies.  One of those reasons is that diverse candidates don’t know how to get the right visibility from these top companies. On the other hand, top companies don’t know how to find the right diverse candidates.  Closing these bridges is the challenge that we have.  Well, I have found an amazing company that is doing this very well. Canvas! They are on a mission to help the future look like you!  To talk about this amazing FREE platform for candidates, I interviewed my good friend and VP of Marketing Maya Grossman on my podcast.  We spoke more about this problem and gave advice on how you, as a diverse candidate, can use Canvas to gain visibility. Make sure you check out this episode of the podcast and visit Canvas and Maya’s official website! Have questions about your career? Well, we are here to help! Ep. 205 “How to Get Hired as an International Student” with Robert Bouchard
You think getting a job is hard? Try getting a job as an international student.  Not only is the legal process complicated to understand, but it is also difficult to navigate. Based on my experience, international students apply to 10 times as more jobs than traditional students. Yet, you spent more than half of your time applying for the wrong companies.  Did you know that only around 33% of all companies actually sponsor? Most international students don’t take the time to find this out before they apply, causing them to waste their time.  Before you fill out the next application, ask yourself the following questions: Has the company you are applying for sponsored someone before?  If yes, have they sponsored someone for the role you are applying for?  This is just one of the topics Robert Bouchard, the H1B Guy, and I spoke about in today’s episode of the MC2C Podcast.  Have questions about your career? Well, we are here to help! Text me if you have any questions at +1 (321) 221-5240.

Ep. 197 "The Ripple Effect" with Joe Knopp
Have you ever met someone and said to yourself, “That person will change the world?” That was my first thought when I met Joe Knopp. From our first conversation, I knew that I had to be part of his life and help him reach his full potential.  Joe is not your average Joe. He is a serial entrepreneur, full of energy and drive to make an impact. He spent all of his savings on 2,000 bottles in the hope that he can sell them and use the profits to build a water well.  For every Ripple Bottle you buy, you help provide clean water to someone in need. Every time you get to enjoy your clean water from a Ripple Bottle, you can feel grateful that you were able to help someone on the other side of the world have clean water too.  There's more to Joe than just his company Ripple, so I invite you to get to know him during this episode of the Mastering College to Career podcast!  And don’t forget to get your own Ripple Bottle! Ep. 193 "CHLI Global Leaders Program" with Mary Ann Gomez Orta
LinkedIn family, I need your help! I want to bring awareness to one of the coolest internships available to the Hispanic community, so please help me by tagging college students that might be interested!  The internship is with the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute and is a semester-long internship program, featuring placement in Congressional and corporate legislative affairs offices. Students will gain educational and hands-on experience with project-based public policy programs. The program will take place in the fall semester.  In my opinion, it is like doing two internships in one.  This fantastic opportunity will allow students to live in Washington, D.C paid for by CHLI, and build relationships that will change your life.  I am a big fan of this organization and what they are trying to do. That is why I did a podcast episode with their president and CEO, Mary Ann Gomez Orta, to talk about this fantastic opportunity.  I have left a link to apply in the comments and a link to the full episode.  If you are reading this and don’t think this is for you, then don’t be selfish and tag a friend who might be interested in this fantastic opportunity.  Link to learn more and apply for the internship: https://www.chli.org/gl-application Want us to help you with your career?
