What's this thing called, "Submission."
This week Marriage at Best hosts, Brandon and LaTonya tackle, "Submission." Guess what ladies, it's not a bad word or a curse word. Submission is broken down beautifully from a biblical perspective. This week we are reminding couples that "Submission" first begins with a couple, "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God," (Eph 5:21). You know it, the portion of the scriptures that some just don't want to admit. Submitting is not about bowing down to a man or when he says, "Jump," a woman asks, "How high." Absolutely not. Marriage requires teamwork. We're stronger together and weaker apart. Pull up a seat, grab a snack or two and listen to Marriage at Best break it all down. You don't want to miss this episode. Celebrate your spouse
Marriage at Best takes you through a brief scenario of the end times based on people’s fear of Jesus second coming. Naturally we end with marriage talks of “Celebrating your spouse,” based off the David and Tamela Mann’s bible plan, “Us against the world: our secrets to love, marriage and family.” (Available on the Youversion Bible App as a 10 day devotional). --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/marriageatbest/message

The Momma’s boy syndrome
Are you struggling in a relationship in which your husband has failed to “Leave and Cleave?” If so, this episode is for you. Sorry men but when you say, “I do,” your wife becomes top priority, and the Mommas boy days must cease. A recent video of a wife asking her mother-in-law to sit in the back seat raised a lot of questions. Listen to this episode to find out our take. Also listen to determine the correct order. In this order, you’ll find that “Mother’s” don’t make the top five... God, Husband & wife, children, work, church, etc. This is the biblical order. Pull up a seat, grab a drink, and listen up as we discuss this subject matter. Fulfill the promise of marriage
So you’re willing to call it quits... Stop! Think about the promise you made before God to live this thing out until death do us part. Marriage isn’t a game. Hearts aren’t meant to be sacrificed or broken simply because you have irreconcilable differences you aren’t willing to work out. Two becoming one isn’t for the faint at heart, it’s for those willing to do what it takes to survive as a marital union. It takes two to be the heartbeat of a marriage, if one leaves the heart begins to malfunction. Keep your heart healthy by working out the kinks vs leaving. Listen as we give advice surrounding the promise of marriage. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/marriageatbest/message

Stop Courting Boaz...The book.
Author LaTonya McGee shares why she wrote “Stop Courting Boaz” available on Amazon. The book sheds light to the beauty of a woman and how she deserves to be treated. It also takes the fire from the “Waiting on my Boaz” theory. One of the main purposes of “Stop Courting Boaz” is to encourage women to avoid or disengage from painful relationships by getting to know oneself. For example, hurt attracts hurt, misery attracts misery, pain attracts pain. In other words, we are who we attract. Getting to know ourselves on a deeper level helps to minimize attracting the wrong one and allows us to wait on God for the right one. If you are waiting on Boaz, I encourage you to study Ruth and take a deeper look into what man doesn’t always reveal. This podcast is a brief summary of “Stop Courting Boaz” stayed tuned to episode 4 for more details. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/marriageatbest/message

Episode 2: Entanglement
Oftentimes we lose ourselves in relationships and find ourselves in romantic entanglements. The recent confession of Jada Pinkett Smith and August Alsina has millions of people wondering, "What in the world is Jada talking about?" If we define, "Entanglement," "A complicated or compromising relationship or situation," we find that Jada knew exactly what she was talking about. Marriage at Best happens to agree with the term giving the facts that Jada was still married, henceforth involving herself in an "Entanglement." Your hosts Brandon and LaTonya aren't here to place judgment but to shed light that adultery is "complicated" and or potentially "compromising" to your marriage. Jada mentioned, "She learned a lot about herself and marriage to Will during the entanglement." However, Brandon and LaTonya discuss the importance of getting to know yourself on a level that simply involves, "You." Learn you, know you,  and build yourself in ways that can enhance your marriage vs bringing destruction to your marriage.  Learn more about Marriage at Best at www.marriageatbest.com. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/marriageatbest/message
