People talking about shot up by 250%. Engagement increased by 1600%. An Internationally re- nowned Botanist and an or- nithologist became a fan of our Facebook page. Facebook community standards No self-harm. No bullying or harassment. No hate speech. No graphic content for sadis- tic pleasure. No pornography. No Impersonation. No violation of intellectual properties of others. Our own list of Dont's: No hard-sell. Never flirt with controversy. No cheesy stuff. Not too much text. No glaring image. No too much posting. Starting Magic with Facebook Page Facebook is a community building tool. Facebook does not cost any money to use. Investing effort Facebook page is worth it. We started building an active community with our Facebook page in less than four weeks. Our goals: Build a thriving community. Avoid hard-sell. Focus on quality content. Our posting priority: Funny Interesting Emotional Difference between Facebook Profile and Facebook Page: Facebook Profile is Personal. Facebook Page is Business. Profile limit = 5000 friends. Page limit = unlimited fans. Create a Facebook Page for the ‘cause’ that the company represents. Name the Facebook Page after the company. We have named ours Facebook.com/ ArtyPlantz. Make sure the page can be found in a Facebook search. Post valuable content on Facebook Page. Share the Page content in Personal profile page as often as we’d like to. Like the Page posts as Personal Profile. Comment on the Page posts as Personal Profile. How to be on top of Facebook news feed? Everyone is seeking attention on Facebook. Our biggest challenge is to get on top of News Feeds. If our posts are not on top of News Feeds, our Facebook page would not matter. Facebook shows recent stories or top news in feeds. Facebook uses an in-built algorithm called EdgeRank to choose items to show on news feeds. Facebook gives priority to videos, albums, pictures and texts in that order.
