The Maine Road Ramble and Manc and a Yank Podcast teamed up for a crossover that spans across all eras of Manchester City, drafting a starting eleven from the all-time greats in the club's history!Joe and Jon are joined by Maine Road Ramble's Kevin Nelson and Andrew Dettmer to compile the best lineups imaginable, with the picks ranging from Eric Brook all the way to Gabriel Jesus. The rules are simple. In a snake draft format, select eleven players that can reasonably play a position based on their experience in a reasonable formation (no 1-1-8's allowed!). The draft picks are being evaluated on their best sustained version while playing for City, so picking Frank Lampard does not get you the peak Chelsea years. Finally, each selection must have played at least 10 first team senior matches with the club.Simple enough, right? Yet it was actually more of a difficult exercise than we all thought trying to rank the litany of City legends while maneuvering around the plans and stolen picks of our competitors. Ultimately, this was an incredibly fun episode to prepare for and record, but YOU will be the ultimate decider for who among us drafted the greatest team. What is the most important goal in City's history? How about the best celebration?These are just two of the "Best City _______" moments that Manc and Yank tackle in this special bumper podcast. There's a special twist for Jon as Joe lays down the challenge that his answers have to be events that he witnessed in person, which leads to an embarrassing admission about Wembley 1999.

It's good to talk, and so they did. Join Jon and Joe as they dust off the mics and share working from home tips, isolation ideas, entertainment recommendations, and begin to speculate about what football could look like when it returns.

In what appears to be the last podcast for a little while, Jon and Joe look back on a(nother) derby defeat and debate City’s goalkeeping situation.There’s also some now-wildly-outdated coronavirus speculation, plus the lads take a look at this week’s other Champions League games.

Jon and Joe look back at the best week of the season so far as City pick up a victory in Sheffield and a trophy at Wembley on their way back from Madrid.Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden feature heavily in conversation ahead of Sunday’s Manchester Derby, and Jon sits firmly on the fence when it comes to John Stones.

After an extended break thanks to - among other things -  Storm Ciara, Manc and Yank return to studio refreshed and ready for City’s mouthwatering European clash with Real Madrid. There are reviews of recent wins (and clean sheets!) against West Ham and Leicester, a look ahead to Sunday’s City Carabao Cup final, and Jon has his (brief) say on UEFA and FFP.

After City somehow contrive to lose at Spurs, Jon and Joe argue about how influential the game will be in the wider scheme of the season. There’s also a West Ham preview (which, much to Jon’s surprise is this weekend), and some excellent listener questions.

Jon and Joe review a loss that was also a win against United as City progress the League Cup Final for the third straight season. The lads also look ahead to City's visit to the Bernabeau, and disagree over their desired lineups now that Wembley awaits the Blues just 4 days later. Plus, there's a Fulham review, Spurs preview, and Jon has his say in the empty seats conversation. 

Jon is back in the studio after a battle with the flu as him and Joe dive into all things City. Jon and Joe return for the new decade in triumphant mood as City demolish/outclass/run rings around/bamboozle/humiliate United at Old Trafford once again. There’s praise for academy graduate performances in the FA Cup which leaves Pep with a Villa selection dilemma, plus Ricci identifies which defenders City should be looking at next summer.

Jon and Joe squeeze in a podcast before the end of the decade and before City play 2 games in 2 days, or 3 games in 5 days, or 4 games in 8 days…however you calculate it, it’s insane. There are multiple accusations of fence-sitting across a Leicester review and previews of Wolves and Sheffield United. The lads also share their hopes and dreams for what the Blues can achieve in 2020.

Manc and Yank look back over an incredibly busy week in this bumper podcast.There’s news of two cup draws and rumors surrounding Mikel Arteta, Leroy Sané and Jadon Sancho, plus Jon and Joe review routine wins at Arsenal and Oxford as City’s midfield seems to find its long-lost rhythm.Somewhere in the midst of all that, Manc spent the weekend in Miami at NBC’s Premier League Mornings Live, where he spoke with fans and former City and West Ham midfielder Ian Bishop.

Jon and Joe pronounce City’s title chances officially dead after the Blues are defeated in the derby, but are also excited about the uncharted territory that this opens up in the cup competitions and squad selection. There’s a review of a dead good dead rubber in Zagreb, and the lads discuss transfer targets.

Jon and Joe are in a better mood this week as Rodri and Gabriel Jesus get City purring again with classy win at Burnley, but not before ruing the loss of two points in the depths of the Tyne. The boys look ahead to the Manchester derby with their customary unrealistic lineup predictions, and seek expert advice over whether they are drowning or suffocating in the New England snow.

Joe is less than thankful for Guardiola after two games with minimal rotation and underwhelming performances against both Chelsea and Shakhtar. The lads discuss Pep’s future as City boss and the implications that might have for the next few transfer windows, and how City will fare in the short term without Sergio Aguero during his annual festive “injury” break. Jon fails miserably at not sounding sarcastic when being genuine.

Gluttons for punishment Jon and Joe review City’s latest defeat at Liverpool and question performances, team selection and the state of English refereeing. Things get personal at the England training camp and will the Blues regret leaving the door open for Mikel Arteta to go to Arsenal? 

Jon and Joe celebrate/lament the triumphant return of Typical City as the Blues draw at the San Siro in a way only they could. Kyle Walker makes a case for an England recall as competition for Jordan Pickford, and the lads speculate how Guardiola will setup his injury-depleted squad for Sunday’s showdown at Anfield.

Jon and Joe are joined by @BlueMoonPodcast's David Mooney, who talks candidly about his experience as an LGBTQ City fan and identifies a common thread that links a number of football’s current issues with discrimination. There’s analysis of the win against Aston Villa, a preview of the League Cup/Premier League double-header against in-form Southampton, and blue-tinted nostalgia abounds as David and Jon reminisce about a 6-0 win over Swindon Town in the late nineties.
