Katia Lopez-Hodoyan is an accomplished international Journalist that now works for Al Jazeera network and is stationed in Qatar site of the 2020 World Cup. Her journey did not start there though and began in San Diego, California as a binational reporter covering the different issues that surround the diverse community. In her journey towards accomplishing her goals she endured and experienced difficult challenges and the ever-changing field of journalism. Her experiences allowed her to grow and become a resilient and successful media professional. Her journey has taken her through local TV work, International work as a correspondent in Europe and now in Qatar as a journalist based in Doha. Some of her work includes the coverage of the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks, the election of Pope Francis and the current pandemic across the globe. In episode 2 of Making it in Media, Katia joins Beto and Joaquin and shares the insights and experiences that shaped her career and the life lessons that any journal and media professional must take into consideration in achieving success.
