As the oldest boy of 5 children, George learned the value and necessity of hard work from a young age. After playing football and wrestling in High School, George found his real passion in the sport of Rodeo. He was a District Champion Saddle Bronc Rider in High School, and then was offered a full scholarship to compete in collegiate rodeo. After serving a Mission for the LDS church in Louisiana, he pursued his education and continued following his Rodeo dreams. During his college years, George was recruited by A.L. Williams, a financial marketing company headquartered in Duluth, Georgia. He quickly found success, and while still in his early twenties, was promoted to a National Sales Director responsible for more than 250 people in his organization.Things changed as this company was sold to a division of Citicorp. George decided to focus his attention on building a more traditional financial planning business as a Financial Consultant. Over the years he has acquired more than 400 high net worth clients all over the U.S. and built a team of professionals he considers the most competent in the industry. He and his family continue to run cattle on his family ranch and plans to carry on that tradition for at least a few more generations. Social Media Hashtags & Instagram Hashtag Invented 2007 by Google Employee Chris Messina First hashtag was #barcamp Types Tracking: hash tagging so you can show someone what you are doing Sponsor Branding Creating a space for your business/identity Categorical Most Important Allowing similarly interested users to find YOU A few rules for using hashtags: Don’t string too many words together with a single hashtag. Sometimes I use for satirical/comedic purposes Ideally, if you use a hashtag on a public account, anyone who does a search for that hashtag can find your post Don’t #spam #with #hashtags. Avoid over-tagging a single post or adding them to every word. Tweets with hashtags had 2 times more engagement than those without, and 55% more Retweets. Use hashtags only on Tweets relevant to the topic. Trying to get attention by using a mismatch between the content of your Tweet and hashtag use won’t do you any favors if people are annoyed. Use hashtags to join in on topics/conversations/themes, such as: Events and conferences (#WorldCup) Holidays or celebrations #WorldPizzaDay) Popular culture topics (#GameofThrones) Popular hashtags for days of the week (#TBT) General interest topics (#blogging) Hashtag Search Tools Hashtagify.me is a free tool you can use to find hashtags. It also gives numeric data on hashtag use and helps you to map a hashtag in relation to other similar options. RiteTag is a powerful hashtag search tool you can use for Facebook and Twitter. It provides up-to-date data as to how your hashtag is performing. Sprout Social has a hashtag analysis tool that discovered your most engaged and relevant hashtags around your brand. Low Tech–>Look at Similar Accounts Using Hashtags on Insta 12.8% increase in visibility with at least one hashtag Instagram has a 30 hashtag limit 9 Seems to be the consensus “sweet spot” Gary Vee’s “$1.80 Instagram Strategy to Grow Your Business or Brand” —>Click for Link to Entire Article<— Find the 10 Most Important/Relevant Hashtags in Your Field Identify Top 9 Posts for Top 10 Hashtags Engage and Interact on Those Posts (Give your $0.02) Answer Questions Add Feedback Tag Relevant “Creators” on Instagrams Make POSITIVE Comments Continue to Interact!
