Episode 9 - Powerslave (Side A)

Don't look now, but there are only two minutes to midnight! That's right, friends, we're talking Side A of Powerslave this week. Atomic bombs, dogfighting planes and a B-Side track capturing an argument between two band members! Released September 3, 1984, Powerslave is the first release by the band to feature the same lineup as the previous album. The album debuted at #2 on the UK albums chart, spent three weeks in the top ten and was on the top albums charts for 10 weeks total. It also reached #21 on the US Billboard 200 after debuting at #62. Powerslave has been certified platinum in the US (in June 1991) and gold in the UK (Dec. 1984, three months after its release).
