Ep.7 Unique Lab Services' Kaila Ford: Patients' Care Comes First
I remember once being targeted by a social media campaign for IV Hydration Therapy advertisement. So one day this very interactive video shows up on my social feed and it stated something like, hey, do you live in Arizona and have a bit of a hangover after on weekends time to time? We can actually show up at your home and do our magic to help you to be as good as new! So that was really interesting to me for a few reasons: number one is it was irrelevant. Number two, I thought, wait a sec, there are medical services, besides ambulances and caregivers, that actually GO to people’s homes to do the work? Then COVID19 happens. I’ve been been tested several times since March of last year and by now, probably majority of us know what it is: you’re at this random parking lot, in a line of cars. The services are performed right inside your car by people that come out of white tents. So that really sort of normalized the existence of mobile medical services for me: they go to variety of places to do variety of services. I finally got it.Welcome to Locally Grown in Arizona, I’m your host, Regina Revazova. I have someone in the studio that knows a lot about mobile services like that. Her name is Kaila Ford, she’s with Unique Lab Services. The company provides mobile blood draw, it’s growing fast - they began doing business here in Arizona but they’re soon to outgrow our state. Kaila is a practice manager at the Unique Lab Services but she started as a phlebotomist - she used to go to people’s homes to do the blood work.
