After spending 13 years in the Theater business Jason has built a successful Cleaning Company. He has has a knack for building a great team and keeping them motivated. Here is a snapshot of our conversation: Interviewing tips include: Look for those applicants that were in more activities in school than just good grades.Look for people who were in activities as they are familiar with a hard work ethic and self-discipline. He also gave an example of a question that he often uses in an interview: “Have you ever been in a situation where you do more or superior to your colleagues?” He says that an answer, yes or no, isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s the supporting reason they give can tell you a lot about the person.  Build a culture of Trust, but Verify. This gives your employees enough rope to make decisions on their own, but it also sets the expectation that they will be held accountable.Dealing with employee mistakes. First Question the process, not the person. Ask them how we can make this better in the future and be collaborative about it.
