Make It OK - stopping the stigma of mental illness
In this special episode of Lizdom we are joined with guests Shelly Rock & Jamie Haberl of the Iowa Healthiest State Inititiative to discuss Iowa's new Mental health awareness program, Make it OK. Make it OK is a community campaign to reduce stigma by starting conversations and increasing understanding about mental illness. Shelly Rock played a key role in Minnesota's Make it OK program before moving to Iowa a few years ago and found herself asked to help head the initiative in Iowa due to her prior key contributions. Jamie Haberl, Executive Director of Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, is heading ambassador training efforts across the state as well as connecting people with resources and information about the Make it OK program.
