Cassie Trabucco is a Nashville based singer. Born in New York and raised in Tennessee, her parents instilled in her an appreciation for every type of music, but especially Rock N Roll, Broadway and Contemporary Christian. A recent graduate from Middle Tennessee State University, Trabucco is living her dream leading worship, recording demos, music directing at CYT Nashville and working with students who remind her of herself a few short years ago.

South Margin of Franklin TN is a rare father/daughter duo, Ken and Mary Graff who play acoustic sets of all your favorite classic rock, southern rock and country sing alongs. You can also catch them leading worship at the St. Philip Saturday 5pm Mass. On this episode, the Graffs share their story of family, faith and music making. This week, we interview artist Hobo Cane as St. Philip features musical guests playing at our summer series, Concerts in the Courtyard. Born as Javier Alberto Mendoza in the state of Virginia to a Spanish mother and Mexican/American father, Javier’s love for music burned bright from a young age. He started his musical career joining Warner-Chappell as a staff writer in Miami, FL. There he spent his time writing tunes for mega pop sensations such as Enrique Iglesias, Juan David, Ricky Martin, Rosario and more. Mendoza now resides in Nashville, TN where he is embarking on a project as Hobo Cane.

Fawaz Yasi, whose stage name is “E-Knock,” is a traditional Catholic rapper. He released his first album, Traditionis, in March of 2022. Yasi, a Syriac Christian from Northern Iraq, emigrated to the US with his family at the age of five. Yasi shares his love for homesteading (listen for the rooster), the Church, youth ministry and, of course, rap music.

Catholic Argentine singer, Athenas, discovered her vocation to worship music through her experience in the Church. She began her solo career with producer Jonatan Narvaez in 2012. Her YouTube videos quickly went viral and her songs became known within the new wave of contemporary Catholic music. Athenas and her husband, Tobias, an accomplished pianist/composer, talk about their calling and the development of Contemporary Christian Music in Latin America.

Happy Mother's Day! While on a musical mission in Memphis, John interviews Fr. Bruce Cinquegrani, Pastor at St Anne on Highland Ave., Memphis and professor at Christian Brothers University. Fr. Bruce has done several of liturgy retreat days at good ol' St. Philip.

After a little over three years as a music director, Francesca LaRosa felt God calling her to become a full-time composer to devote more of her time to composing music for His Church. She now lives happily with her husband and music producer/composition partner, David. Together, they are blazing an innovative trail using online tools to self publish liturgical compositions as a means of sharing faith-filled songs with others.
