After a series of tests, doctors diagnosed Lori with Multiple Sclerosis. Being an extremely active person, Lori was tremendously worried about what it would mean for her love of mountaineering and her current lifestyle. Against all odds, Lori remained resilient and later became the first person with MS to climb Mount Everest. Many years later, Lori faced additional adversities with the diagnosis Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and the passing of a loved one. Through these hardships, Lori learned to have faith in herself and found strength from within.
