The Fields by Erin Young (comes out Jan 25th, 2022) is a breakneck police procedural set in the Iowa Corn Belt and centers around a murder of a woman found in a cornfield, one whose implications extend far beyond the Midwest. But perhaps the most surprising twist of this story is off the page.
