In this episode of the Live Love Wylie Podcast we have the newest addition to Historic Downtown Wylie - Ryan and Clint from Herman Marshall Whiskey join us.  Listen in as we find out a bit more about their backgrounds, the acquisition of the whiskey business, the decision to relocate the distillery and the journey to opening their brand new tasting room right in the heart of Wylie Texas. We find out what you can expect when visiting their location, we talk a bit about near future plans (maybe some long terms plans too!) and crucial partnerships they have formed along the way. Herman Marshall Whiskey's tasting room opens it doors to the public on Friday Jan 20th at 3PM. Main festivities will take place closer to 7pm.  The tasting room is located at 121 N. Ballard Ave.

In this episode, we talk with Wylie Texas' most famous Red Raider. Yes, you guessed it the greatest selfie taker known to Wylie - Dr. David Vinson. Dr. David Vinson is the superintendent of Wylie ISD, he joined Wylie ISD in 2011 and continues to have an incredible impact on our community. We talk about his upbringing in a farming town in West Texas, his journey at Texas Tech, the first job out of college, the shift to education, and the path to Wylie ISD. We dive into the Wylie ISD he saw when he arrived on to the Wylie ISD of today. We also talk about some of the incredible programs available to Wylie ISD students from the CTE program, Future Farmers of America, and Internship opportunities. 

In this episode, we are joined by Board Certified Behavioral Analyst Jessica Zuniga. Jessica is the owner of Wylie's own Beyond the Behavior, a therapy center for children with autism. Jessica is not only the owner of Beyond the Behavior which features three locations (Wylie, Murphy and Frisco), she is also a board member of the Wylie Chamber of Commerce. We learn about her upbringing on a farm in Nebraska, her college days at the University of Kansas and the University of North Texas, the move to Texas, the early days of her business and where they are today. We discuss autism treatment from discovery to implementation and things parents can be mindful of as they watch their kiddos develop. 

We are joined in this episode by Kylie Reising, Vice President of Wylie Insurance Agency.  Kylie grew up in Wylie and her family has long established roots in the area. We talk about Wylie Insurance being the oldest business in Wylie, being voted Best Insurance Agency in Wylie for the past 10 years, and her family's history of community service.  We also delve into the infamous 1980 axe murder that happened on the same street where she grew up.
