Live With Greg – Season 8 Episode 68 – Live With Grace
July's episode is with a very special guest; Ashlyn Thomas. Ashlyn was born with spina bifida "— a term that means “split spine” — is a condition that occurs when the brain, spinal cord, or the membranes that cover them (meninges) do not completely develop." However, what is most important about Ashlyn is her outlook on life and her gratitude for being alive. In her presence, I feel a joyful abundance - a light that shines beyond the finite duality of this world. I think... it is Grace. Something Ashly has in abundance. I am very grateful for the opportunity she gave me for this episode. Enjoy!

Live With Greg – Season 8 Episode 66 – The Flow
This episode was amazing. First off, Michelle is an amazing woman; and I am honored to be friends with her. The lady is fire!! AND, i am grateful for her giving her time for this episode... truth be told; it isn't her favorite - and she still greenlit it to go live. That's the kind of champion she is. So, I am going to follow-up with her link to her site: https://www.michellevenezianodo.net And here bio, and I hope her knowledge helps you get your juices flowing! Michelle Veneziano, DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine), is a family physician, intuitive, and an adjunct clinical professor at Touro University in Northern California. Live With Greg – Season 8 Episode 65 – Racial Equity Transformation
This episode is a wonderful follow-up to last month's episode. Below is from Deborah's bio... and her sharing her time for this episode is a great gift. I hope you accept this gift with the grace with which it was given. If you're interested in contacting her, she may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Deborah McKnight has been centering race and racial equity for over 30 years. She believes in the power of strong and equitable instructional environments to change lives. Upon moving to the US Virgin Islands from her native New York and implementing the first special education model of its kind on the island of St. John she witnessed this firsthand. There she was voted “Best Teacher” by the community and the Virgin Islands Daily News because of her ability to positively impact the lives of her students. Not everything that is faced can be changed but nothing can be changed until it is faced. — James Baldwin This work is both personal and professional for me. Race has been used to sort and classify students since Brown vs. Board of Education and when I was growing up in New York it was either college track or vocational track in high school. I often think back to my oldest brother, when the White guidance counselor insisted he be placed in the vocation track. He wouldn’t be the doctor he is today if my White mother allowed this for her brilliant Black son and insisted he be placed in the college readiness courses. Tracking has since given way to Gifted Education, AP Honors, and our current special education system which has resulted in racial segregation under the guise of ability and “disability.”

Live With Greg – Season 8 Episode 64 – “Be Good to Yourself”
It is good medicine; this season eight opener. Toast is one of my brothers; blood in - blood out. And I learned from this meeting with him... so I am grateful for this going live. Perhaps, you, too, will learn from our conversation... If nothing else, as Toast says in his out-going message: ...be good to yourself. What better wish is there for somebody? (And if you want his excellent services in your world, he can be reached via this business: Tim Wright Building and Electrical Services.)

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 63 – Chickeebob
Bob Wertzberger - daaaammmnnnnn! There is nothing but a good vibe in my life from this gentleman! Wertz introduced me to a lot of the music that first formed my appreciation for... Rock n Roll! Van Halen, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, U.F.O.… all first heard with, and because of, Wertzberger! We liked it loud. We even had a lunch hour radio show that we pre-recorded and broadcast in the HHS cafeteria. Not yet open to the nuance of genre — and plethora of possibility — it was a very one-sided presentation of the music listened to by the student body. Wertz was one of my solid hang-outs, adventurers, buddies… and it was great to hang with him again, in the autumn of our years… and find that brotherhood is as solid today as it ever was. I recommend listening to more of his music, under the names: Bobnoxious: Soundcloud | Pandora Chickeebob: BA Punk | Facebook | Hear Now

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 62 – Black Lives Matter
I appreciate this episode very much - with a close friend and guide; Marc Wendt. I trust him absolutely with the potentially volatile topic we broached this episode - and I know he has a solid experience in dissecting and learning about his own place in a racist system. And he is devoted to being part of the healing and eradication of racism. So... we ventured forth. Part of my trust stems from the knowledge from experience that our faux pas aren't game-stoppers; they're to be learned from - part of the process of healing. Thus, I don't need to avoid areas of challenge. I hope you, also, appreciate this timely episode. If interested, the course Marc refers to is, “heal thyself diversity intensive for people racialized as white”. More about it - and signing up can be found here: https://www.intersectionformankind.com/remember-institute-courses/healthyself And if you are interested in hiring an amazing, and very dedicated life coach in your life - I highly recommend working with Marc. His site is at https://www.marcwendtcoaching.com/.

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 61 – Shadows and Light
One of my favorite songs is by Joni Mitchell: Shadows and Light. I have the pleasure of presenting another great artist, Nora Bruhn. I came across her work via the Paint The Void Project in San Francisco. This great, big, gorgeous flower erupted on my screen - full bloom. I chatted with Nora and found her to be very open... and luckily, she's green lit this episode of LWG. She's a neighbor, an artist, and a brave creative explorer of this physical realm - we definitely got into a discussion about shadows and light. You can explore more about her here: https://www.konorebi.com And I think I'd be remiss to not have link to Paint the Void: "Giving grants to artists for safeguarding hope and beauty in the wake of COVID-19" https://paintthevoid.org/ ...you'll learn a lot about Nora in this episode. Again, her openness I found very refreshing - and damn; she's talented! Enjoy #D11 #LWG

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 60 – An Open-mind and a Willingness to be Guided
Episode Sixty… is an episode that should have happened a long time ago. Christopher is a brother—heart to heart. Like a true brother, He's pissed at me sometimes. And he pisses me off sometimes. We went through a pretty heavy bout about a year ago... half a year ago... ?? I'm not sure. But we were talking with each other within a week's time; when he gave me a raving testimonial for my skills as a producer. He took me off the streets, and has shared his intimate life with me from day one of us knowing each other. AND... if you want someone who can help you kick what ever addiction is driving you nuts; he's a number one coach/sponsor. Here's his Clean & Sober site: https://www.cleanandsobercoach.com He's got a work in progress, interviews and exploration about Love, Sex, and Relationships: https://ahumanaffair.com/ He's the most honest person I know, struggling in the mire of "who am i?" like the rest of us. It's an honor to present, my Broham… Christopher Dienstag.

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 59 – More Betta With Mo Black
Episode 59 is with special guest; Mo Black! I met Mo many years ago, and was struck. She's a bright light. I came to meet her family a bit over the years - and they all shine brightly. One thing I have always counted on when hanging with Mo, we're going to be engaged in some real talk. This episode is rich in content and thought...

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 58 – B
Episode 58 is with special guest; Jonah Dunkel Wilker! I want to thank my son for stepping in at the last second... And that's who Jonah is. Besides being a brilliant musician/producer, having a great sense of humor… he also is a deeply resonant thinker empathetic to people in his life. To me, he is "B". I think this episode sheds a little glimmer of light into who he is... a little...

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 57 – Habibi
Season 7 continues, still, in quarantine. 2020 is historically, on a global level, one of the strangest recorded times in human history. And Habibi remains, for me, on a global scale, one of the most beloved and amazing human beings I know. She's honored me with a third guest spot, for the third episode of Live With Greg.

Live With Greg – Season 7 Episode 55 – Anew
Season 7 starts off well, with special guest Dr. Leslie Purchase. I met Leslie when she reached out to her community, wanting to communicate with diverse perspectives from her own. As she put it, "Recently, I have been doing some reading that has challenged me to recognize the cognitive biases and faulty thinking that probably has led me to some incorrect conclusions in life." I met with her and appreciated the dialogue and open communication. More and more I experience the healing balm communication is. It brings us together. I hope you enjoy this new episode of LIVE WITH GREG... or LIVE WITH GREG, depending on your pronunciation.

Live With Greg – Season 6 Episode 54 – From Momz, with Love
I am extremely grateful for this episode; it is a Divine Gift to finish strong. Season Six I don't think could finish any stronger. I have three living mothers in my life right now; my blood mom and two others who love me deeply and are Spiritual guides. This is one of them; Momz (Addie). I know Momz to be a deeply loving, strong human being… and have come to know her even more deeply in recent years. (She helped raise me since high school) I was not expecting to learn such a moving story of challenges overcome. And what is most important to me; overcome with nothing but Love for all involved. That's real strength/Real Love… and, here's the photo of her with her horse post storm in Nicaragua. Enjoy!

Live With Greg – Season 6 Episode 52 – Ramble On
I met Travis Summer Deuel at the West Point Inn Father's Day Pancake Breakfast... and we started talking about comedy and stand-up. So - we met up and hung out to continue celebrating a mutual fascination... and we rambled quite a bit. Seemed like moments to me... except that I was going on about partnership. You can check out his photography here: https://travisdeuel.com Enjoy, Partner...

Live With Greg – Season 6 Episode 51 – New Mother Nature Taking Over
I was going to use apocalypse in the name of this episode… it seems more fitting to use something upbeat; supportive. And I don't really think it's the new Mother Nature taking over — I think she's just speaking with more strength so we'll listen. This is a very exciting episode for me, with special guest, Mark Northcross. His experience and first-hand accounting of what is happening is, well, a solid wake-up call. This is from Mark's LinkedIn bio: I have worked as a public finance professional since 1981. I started at John Nuveen & Company, became of founding partner of Kelling Northcross & Nobriga, and then started my own firm with Craig Hill in 1996, where I have been since. Prior to 1981 I was an environmental consultant, preparing and presenting EIR's for California cities and counties. And this? …is lyrics from The Guess Who's song… 'Cause it's the new mother nature taking over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new mother nature taking over She's gettin' us all She's gettin' us all

Live With Greg – Season 6 Episode 50 – Friendship, Love and Truth
It is truly an honor to have as my guest for episode 50, historian and Odd Fellow, Peter Sellars. Peter and I were in the same class at Hayward High School. I knew he joined the Marines right out of high school - and we pretty much lost track of each other until a high school reunion a few years back. I recently heard him on a different podcast talk about the conspiracy against the leaders of the United States of which Lincoln's assassination was a part of. I was also very interested in his quest to find out how the moral code of the Odd Fellows, "Friendship, Love and Truth", was upheld during the United States Civil War. I, too, find it of upmost interest and a personal goal - to uphold the practice and valor of Love at the times when it is most challenging to myself. The following is from his current book, How Friendship, Love, and Truth, Survived the American Civil War... and I hope you appreciate episode 50 as much as I do. (you can purchase the book with this link): Peter V. Sellars is a recognized historian in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. His first two history books, The Independent Order of Odd Fellows in the City of San Francisco and Calling Out From The Past: The First Odd Fellows Home in California, were well received. In 2005, he established a fraternal museum in San Francisco to maintain books and other items unique to the Odd Fellows. The offices that he has held in the Order have given him greater access to sources, materials, and contacts throughout the United States, which led to the creation of this most recent book relating the Odd Fellows to the Civil War. Sellars holds a BS degree from California State University, Hayward (East Bay), and is retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. He and his wife live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Live With Greg – Season 6 Episode 49 – Late, Audio, Life
Part of why I continue to do my podcast is a practice in discipline. And adapting to get an episode out is part of the process… so this episode is live - audio only. And it's late. …and my special guest is Justin Nesbitt. I met Justin one the production of BAJA—he's one of the producers. He's also an actor, musician/rapper, stand-up comedy… is there anything this guy doesn't do? What I've observed and come to admire, is he is always himself. And he brings and gives kindness equally to everyone in every situation. You can check out his IMDb—and I hope you enjoy listening to episode forty-nine with my special guest, Justin Nesbitt.

Live With Greg – Season 6 Episode 48 – Long Day’s Journey Into Night
This is a tribute interview - a tribute to those who travel this life with Huntington's Disease. A tribute to Rolando, my guest Barbara Leistico's husband. A tribute to those suffering from any disease. It is a tribute to those who survive to see the light on the other end of their long day's journey into night — and a prayer for this who won't this time 'round. I'm deeply grateful to Barbara's sharing her intimate journey with me… and for her giving the green light — even with Daisy, who is not a poltergeist, digging her way through the living-room carpet… don't worry — she stops after a bit. (then she starts up again / ha ha ha)
