Rituals some times have negative connotations attached to them. Mainly because by them, we believe we can make our own way to God. But are these the type of rituals that God has implemented for us, so that we can do things to make God happy? In his last sermon during the Why Jesus Hates Religion series, Pastor Kenton explores how this is not the case, but in reality, rituals are gifts from God because they point us back to him and call us to remembrance of how much He actually loves us.

The Power of Love
For many of us, love has been experienced as conditional. If we perform well, we are loved well. If we mess up, we are loved less. But this is not how God loves us. Pastor Kenton explains for us that when we view our relationship with God in the sense of do's and don'ts, we will never find God's love the way He wants us to experience it. God loves us with an everlasting and unfailing love, a love that transforms, gives us identity, and freedom.

Won’t You be My Neighbor
Jesus says that the two greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. But just like the rich young ruler, we seem to always ask, "who is my neighbor?" In his sermon Won't You Be My Neighbor, Pastor Kenton explores what Jesus is really trying to get across when he calls us to love our neighbors with compassion and care, even when we don't always feel like it.

God's heart is for those in need. And if God's heart is for those need, should our hearts be the same? All of us were once spiritual orphans, completely lost, fatherless, and roaming through life on our own. But God loved us too much to leave us that way. When we realize that God loves us so much and is giving us every good and perfect gift, we can't help but be grateful, filled with gratitude, and have this same love and care for others. In his sermon 'Who Cares?', Pastor Kenton explores the heart of God and his care for the needy, and how that same heart lives in us.

What causes us to change the way we live our lives? Is it simply altering our external actions, or is there something deeper that God wants to address? If we allow God to change our hearts, then everything in our lives will ultimately change. Death by Religion
Religion makes us feel like we are in control of our relationship with God. He has a greater plan for our lives than for us to attempt to measure up to his standard. Join pastor Kenton as we explore living a lifestyle of religion versus finding freedom in the gospel.
