136 - Letters To Our Sons: Solving Challenges For Boys & Men
In this episode Christopher Lawhead shares his passion for starting conversations and building a community around helping boys & men to live great lives and thrive in HEALTH, WEALTH & HAPPINESS. Chris is a father, entrepreneur, jiu-jitsu coach, and newly published author.  He started journaling as a part of his morning meditation practice years ago.  This practice turned into a habit, which has yielded his first book "Letters to Our Sons" and a new life endeavor; to offer resources and solutions for boys' and men's mental, physical, and spiritual health challenges. Chris' new start-up "Dude Legit" is aimed at inspiring, informing, and serving those boys and men struggling.  He has organized a passionate team of parents, neighbors, martial arts instructors, therapists, NLP practitioners, and healers to contribute to this crisis we face; with the hopes of creating, curating, and distributing resources to keep boys and men out of prison, off the streets, and alive and healthy.  His new company "Dude Legit" is focused on the art of dudes living great lives. 134 - The 3 Essentials of a Truly Satisfying Life
In this episode Dr. Kelly Flanagan explains the concept of true self and false self and how the voice of shame obscures our clarity about our passion and vocation. Dr. Flanagan is a clinical psychologist and father known to millions for the letters he writes to his children and shares on his blog. Loveable is written to the little one in each of us, who is all too ready to be reminded: you are enough, you are not alone, and you matter. In his book Loveable, Dr. Flanagan reveals the core insight gleaned from his years of clinical work: you are here for a reason, yet you cannot truly awaken to it until you have first embraced your truest, worthiest self and then allowed yourself to be truly embraced by others. Weaving heart-warming storytelling, gentle insights, and the wisdom of Dr. Flanagan’s Christian tradition—including his belief that we are all “the living, breathing bearers of the eternal, transcendent, and limitless Love that spun the planets and hung the stars”—these pages invite you to remember the name you were given before all other names: Loveable.  To learn more and get access to his FREE Loveable mini-course, visit his website at www.drkellyflanagan.comIn this episode we cover:00:02:12  The 3 Essentials For A Truly Satisfying Life 00:05:25  Worthiness 00:07:44  True Self & False Self 00:09:46  Tweaking 00:12:11  Belonging 00:17:37  Purpose 00:22:02  People Who Get You 00:23:39  PassionThanks so much for tuning in again this week. In 2006, Patty founded The Block Group to empower women business owners who are experts in their fields.  As their trusted advisor, she brings a unique perspective, having experienced and solved many of the same complex issues women face, as leaders, as moms, daughters and sisters.  Patty teaches women how to shift their mindset and build their confidence to generate more revenue with less stress by reimagining pricing and selling.  She’s a firm believer that, when women earn more, everyone around them benefits - their staff, their family and their community.  Clients often refer to Patty as their “business therapist” and “secret weapon.”  By establishing long-term relationships and serving as a strategic sounding board, clients experience direct benefits to create real and lasting change, turning roadblocks into building blocks.  To learn more visit www.theblockgroup.net Call: 713-826-0302 Email: pwblock@theblockgroup.net  My Revenue Roadblocks Quiz will help you discover what's in your way and how to knock down those roadblocks!  https://myrevenueroadblocks.com/ https://www.theblockgroup.net/ https://www.theblockgroup.net/solutions/value-driven-pricing https://www.theblockgroup.net/solutions/revenue-roundtablehttps://www.linkedin.com/in/pattyblock/https://www.facebook.com/patty.block/ In this episode we cover:1:51      The Broken Cookie Effect 3:50      Double Standard 7:41      Ideal Buyer 12:22   Building Your Reputation 14:43   The Whole Picture 16:34   Taking Action Thanks so much for tuning in again this week. 118 - Fulfill Your Vision With Fabulous Eyeglasses
Did you know that because of the amount of time we spend in front of screens, it is estimated that half of the world's population may require glasses by 2050? In this episode, Jen Steir goes over the process for helping you find the look that is uniquely and authentically yours in her wide selection of uncommonly fresh frames. Jen discovered she had a petite face when she couldn’t find interesting glasses that actually fit. She was done spending thousands on huge, ill-fitting frames, then little girls’ frames, and finally, just plain boring ones. Luckily, she had an inside track on the solution: her dad was an optometrist, so she knew the industry inside and out. In pursuit of frames that dazzled without distracting, Jen hit the eyewear trade show circuit and built a network of independent designers. Before long, she left her high-tech corporate career to pursue her dream full-time: helping others find frames that not only fit, but also light up their inner best. Today, Jen is C.E.S. (Chief Eyewear Stylist) and mom of two college-bound girls. She loves hiking, bicycling, fondling fiber (knitting), traveling and laughing with family and friends. For more information, please visit www.onyourfaceglasses.com Call to action Email Jen at jen.stier@OnYourFaceGlasses.com, and you'll get this assessment tool, with a link to schedule a free 30-minute consultation. Together on Zoom, you'll refine the fit between the essence you discover and what eyeglass styles  will best reflect YOU.
