93. Grief is a b*tch
This week I share why grief is at the very bottom of every core wound and trauma we’ve experienced. Grief does not like to be touched. She loves to be by herself. But when you find her she’s got a lot of valuable things to say in order to heal. I get to the story of grief by way of perfectionism. It’s a personal share of how I’ve honed my perfectionistic tendencies throughout my life. I share how it showed up in ballet, my nonprofit career, body shaming, and ruminating on convos. At the very bottom of my perfectionism is the desire to be loved and with that is a lot of grief for every moment I didn’t receive it. So buckle up! It’s a funny one. 88. Creating healthy habits with Livia Marati
Today’s episode is all about habits with holistic health coach, event designer, and hatha yoga instructor Livia Marati of Ina Wellness Collective in Guam. She shares what helps drive healthy habits and the motivation to keep them. My favorite part was her sharing about her morning routine which involves the simple steps of lighting incense and putting on music. Habits don’t have to be over the top and complicated. They simply must inspire joy. Simple. Easy peasy. We finish the conversation by talking about how seasons affect habits and how to work with them instead of against them. 85. The art of receiving feedback
Today I share about the art of receiving feedback. It took me a long time to understand that feedback actually comes from a supportive place. People that give you feedback want you to succeed and they are making a real effort to share this information with you. In this episode, I share my favorite framework to give and receive feedback. I learned this during a meeting facilitation training from Sarah Fisk at Community At Work.  I’ve always wanted to practice this feedback framework but it took a few years to find the right community to do it with. I share how I used this framework during a recent work retreat. It was such an amazing helpful tool. Giving and receiving feedback helps to clear the air with teams so you can work as a cohesive team where everyone’s needs are heard and met. Listen to the episode to understand the full feedback framework. Gabby is a Women’s Life Coach who focuses on guiding women from being the backup dancers to the Beyoncé of their lives. She has been through it and she shares her rock bottom in this episode. I really enjoyed talking with her about the important topics like codependency, self-love, and turning inward when patterns start to occur. The word “hard” came up a lot during the interview and I really appreciate it. Because this work is not average. It’s certainly not easy. And I have found that the most rewarding things in my life come with doing something hard. And oftentimes the hard becomes easy as I get better at it. 78. The gifts of an insecure attachment style
Today we celebrate the gifts of an insecure attachment style. At the beginning of my healing journey, I used any new tool or framework including attachment theory as a way to guilt and shame myself for not being perfect or secure. It was yet another model that proved I wasn’t worthy. At the time I was unconsciously stuck in a guilt and shame addiction cycle. I used to think this guilt and shame helped me be a better person. Now I realize it was just old programming and that there are actually several gifts that come from being an insecure attachment type. I won’t give them all away here. You’ll just have to listen to learn what they are. And I hope it helps you celebrate your previous insecure attachment type. 77. A lil’ dose of self-love from Jasmine Kenna
Today is an especially hilarious episode with human design reader Jasmine Kenna. We go deep on the Human Design manifesting generator energy type. We compare our very different energetic realities with my energetic type being a projector. She shares about subliminal audios that she creates to rewrite new beliefs in the brain. Her work is THE definition of manifestation. She shares about the realities of parenting using human design as she has her own design experiment going on with a manifestor, projector, and generator under her roof. This conversation is hilarious and flowed so naturally.  Follow Jasmine Kenna on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lovejasminekenna/ (@lovejasminekenna) Visit Jasmine Kenna’s website: https://jasminekenna.com/ (https://jasminekenna.com/) Follow Lit AF on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itsmesarahcohan/ (@itsmesarahcohan.com) Visit the Lit AF Website: https://www.sarahcohan.com/ (https://www.sarahcohan.com/) Thank you so much for listening. 76. Tapping into the Akash with multi-dimensional reader Erin Panzarella
Today we tap into the Akash with Erin Panzarella. She is a space holder for women on a spiritual healing journey. Her offerings focus on connecting people to their natural state of flow,  intuition + spirit guides through different modalities including the akashic records, human design, energy healing, emotional freedom technique, and more. We chat about her own healing journey and what it feels like to access the Akash. She shares about being a manifesting generator in human design with a strong need to try new things out to continue to evolve.  We finish the convo talking about the big difference between the spirit world and earthly needs. I had a blast talking with Erin and I found it so refreshing that she is always morphing and shifting. Listen to the episode for a dose of spiritual connection.
