Hazardous Weather Outlook. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Iowa, west central Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast Nebraska. Day one. Today and tonight. Periodic showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to to affect eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa this morning into early afternoon. Severe storms are not anticipated. By mid-afternoon, stronger storms may develop across extreme southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa, and will be capable of producing small hail and gusty winds. An isolated severe storm is not out of the question, with large hail presenting the primary threat. Flooding will continue along the Missouri River from Plattsmouth downstream past Rulo through the coming week, and along the Missouri River above Lewis and Clark Lake. Days two through seven. Monday through Saturday. There is a marginal threat of strong to severe storms Tuesday evening and overnight across southern Nebraska. Otherwise, periodic small chances for primarily non- severe thunderstorms are expected across northeast Nebraska and northwest Iowa Wedneday night through Friday night.
