Greetings my lovely Drumsters, I am so excited to share some great news. I will be speaking at the Podfest Global starting this week. I will be speaking on Wednesday evening and in honor of such, I am sharing my interview with the founder Chris Krimitsos. He was a guest on our Tampa Jam Virtual Summit last year. Chris Krimitsos of the Podfest Expo is here to show you how you can quickly get started with podcasting. Talk to people that Chris Krimitsos has spent any amount of time with and you’ll hear descriptions like “changemaker,” “motivator,” “catalyst for change,” and “inspiration.” Whether it’s a major corporation’s CEO or a solopreneur, Chris is passionate about being a difference maker. Chris brings the unique perspective of success from both sides of an event. He understands the challenges of the organizer that needs to move an audience, having himself facilitated over 2,000 events that have brought together business owners, toward economic growth, under the umbrella of Tampa Bay Business Owners, which he founded in 2008. That success regionally was the springboard to launching a national event, Podfest Multimedia Expo, which he grew to over 5,100 attendees in just five years, now breaking Guiness Book of World Records thanks to his ability to communicate key messaging to that community. Under the CK Productions banner, as a filmmaker and producer, Chris successfully birthed The Messengers: A Podcast Documentary, which obtained worldwide distribution and theatrical screenings. #76 Are You Getting Enough Sleep?
Happy New Year my Drumsters! I hope you had a great New Year's Eve. Aren't you excited about having a new beginning? Last year was a train wreck and we've learned so much from it. Hopefully 2021 will get us back up and running like before the Pandemic and we can reclaim our lives. The other day was #National Sleep In Day and I thought about how sometimes I get hit with insomnia and it's not so easy to sleep at all for that fact. I did some research and you'll be surprised to hear that most folks don't get a good night sleep. Have you ever dealt with not getting a restful night's sleep? Isn't it a train wreck? I've been dealing with insomnia for decades now. I am listing below some of the products I refer to in this episode that I use to keep me from staying awake all night long. (Please note that if your purchase any of these products, I will receive a small commission). Satin Eye Mask Satin Pillow Cases Gel Eye Depuffer/Sleep Mask Lavendar Pillow Spray Egyptian Cotton Sheet Sets Feather Bed Topper Black Out Curtains Sound Therapy CMT Oil Having a good night's sleep is imperative to good health. We need our Z's to keep up with all of the stress we have in our daily lives, stay on our A-Game and give the ones we love the energy they need to feel loved. So, I've learned that each of the above help me get a good night's sleep. Be sure to check out today's episode and start getting a good night sleep. Sweet Dreams, Dawn-Marie XO P.S. #75 End Your Year Off Right & Start The New One With Some Added Fashion Style!
Hi my lovely Drumsters, I hope you're having a great last few days of this not-so-nice 2020. The holiday season is always a great time to reflecting, be grateful, and, to think about the think about the things you want for your life, your family, and your business. Today's episode is about how you can add a bit of "style" to the upcoming year (new year, new you). Do you like fashion? Or, do you think it's just a waste of time, and think people can be a slave to makeup and fashion? Well, I don't believe we should never be a slave to anything, or, anyone for that fact, but, I do believe we should try to look our best. If not for anyone but for ourselves. So that we can feel better. I believe one of the reasons behind me becoming a fashion stylist was because my love of clothing started very young. I believe it was because I had to wear a uniform to school for 12 years of my life. On the one hand, it made us all feel equal, yet, on the other, it made me feel like I could never be true to myself. So as times changed, and fashion became even more glamorous, funky, and, cool, I couldn't wait to get out of class, run home and put on something that I could feel like "me" when wearing it. Have you ever worn your favorite jacket, or your favorite pair of jeans and each time you wear them, it makes you feel a certain way? We should all be able to show our true personalities in how we look each day. Personal style allows us to think outside the box. It allows us become the "individuals" that our creator has meant for us to be. We shouldn't have to look like a clone of someone else. Now, as musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs, we DEFINITELY need to show our creativity. But, how do you do it you may ask? Check out today's episode and I will share some ways on how you can do just that. I'll see you inside. Here's to looking and feeling your best! Rock On & Rock Out, Dawn-Marie XO IG: @lildrummergirl55 Look your best in 2021 - grab the at-home fashion styling academy: www.letsshopinyourcloset.com P.S. pick up a copy of www.151secrets.com and learn more tips on how to look and feel your best while living your life on fire!

#73 Supplies to Help You Stay Organized & Get More Done!
What's the first thing you hear when you ask someone how they're doing? Do you get "I'm so busy", "I'm slammed at work", "It's been crazy?" I used to say those phrases all the time until I heard Tony Robbins once say something like "those who say they're busy, may be just that, busy, but, are they being productive?" and it gave me another one of those great ah-ha moments. I decided right then and there that I would stop saying "I've been busy" and now I say "I've been so productive" and you know what happened? You're correct, I became more productive. Try it out for one week and see how it goes. What do you have to lose. You may be amazed at how it can change the productivity of your week, your month, and, your year. So, today's episode is not only about how we should stop saying "we're busy", but, I will also share some of my favorite time management/organizing tools I have used in my office for over 25 years. These simple, yet effective tools and systems can help you save you hours in your day if use them properly AND consistently. These items will help you stay organized and on track so that you'll be able to get more done and you'll be able reach your goals more quickly. Stay organized and productive my Drumsters! Rock On! #72 Live Your Life In Overdrive
Sometimes it's hard to push ourselves to being our most productive, successful and happy. Yet, how many times a day do you think to self - "how am I ever going to get it all done?" I think we all go through this. We pile our plates up as high as we can on all the amazing things we're going to do, only to get to some or none of them done that day. Then what happens? We beat ourselves up and think we're not worthy of getting them in the first place. Have you ever felt this way? One of the things I've learned through studying the masters of time-management, productivity, and, self-motivation, is that the one thing they had in common was about "acting quickly". Can you make a decision quickly? Or, do you ponder on the thought about it and take so long to make a decision, the opportunity is gone? One day back in the late 80's I had a chance to play drums on Joe Walsh's album. I was working with Sony Music at the time and I met him and when he learned about me being a drummer, he asked me if I wanted to play on his album that he was recording at that time. I couldn't believe my ears. Here was THE one and only Joe Walsh from the Eagles band. A band I loved very much. I also enjoyed watching my older cousin play their songs on her acoustic guitar in the 70's. There I was, this young 21 year old and I declined it. I flat out said "Oh Joe, that' would be awesome, but I'm just starting out and I don't think I'm ready". (I was so afraid I was going to fail and embarrass myself). Can you imagine???? What would you do today if someone you looked up to asked you to do something you dreamed about doing (forever), and then there it was, right in front of you, would you take it, fake it till you make it, or say "no thank you"? All I know is that if Joe asked me today, you can bet that I'd have a different answer for him. It would be something like "Heck Yeah Joe, what time should I be there?" and then I'd freak out and try to figure out what to do. Well, all I can say was after that day, my life changed. No longer did I want to miss out on amazing life-changing opportunities. I decided right then and there that I would live my life in overdrive. Are you living your life in overdrive? Check out today's show, I touch on how you can start to think about living your life in overdrive. Vroom, vroom. I'll see you in there. Stay safe my Drumsters!! P.S. #70 Take a Time-Out -Unwind & Get More Productive!
As we go through one of the most stressful, chaotic times in our history, it's important that we try to stay on track where our health is concerned. I don't know about you, but, this is one area I've been having a difficult time. One of the ways I like to exercise in the pool. At first, the closed the pools at our complex for the first three months. Then, they re-opened them with limited hours (8-5) all of which I would be working and unable to get there at those times. Now, I'm just very anxious about getting into the pool with this virus around. Are you feeling like you can't get your workout in they way you used to? Do you feel like you're gaining weight because of it? I do. And, it's really bothering me. So, this week I've made the decision that I will start dancing again. Join me August 8th for one of the best workouts you'll have had in decades. Daybreaker is a dance group from around the globe. I first saw them when I went to see Oprah's 2020 Vision Tour in Miami this past January and they kicked off the conference. They were such an amazing, high-energy and fun opener, we were all on our feet dancing and opening up our Chakra's it was truly spectacular. I went to one of my first virtual experiences with them and I was blown away. The theme was Dancing Through The Decades, they had Jefferson Starship playing via live-stream. Debbie Allen (choreographer from The FAME movie (my mentor during my dance career), The Village People Singing via live-stream and Gloria Gaynor singing her infamous tune "I Will Survive" and JellyBean Benitez spinning the tunes via livestream. It was truly my 2nd best Saturday morning I ever spent (Oprah was the first). You're in luck, cause she's running another one coming up on August 8th. Here's the link DAYBREAKER SIGN UP . I don't know what the theme will be, but, I'm sure, it will not disappoint. Be sure to sign up!! I'll see you there. We are stronger in numbers, let's do this! #66 Are You Getting What You Want?
Greetings My Drumsters, I hope everyone is healthy and staying safe during these unknown and chaotic times. Today's episode is a quick but important one. It's about getting yourself one step closer to reaching your goals. Do you ask for what you want? Or, do you think that possibly the universe will secretly know and bring it to you? Knowing what you want is the first step to getting it. Sometimes we're so distracted that we forget we need to stop and listen to our internal knowings, figure out what exactly we need and then go after it. One of the best ways to getting what you want is to sit quietly where no one will distract you. Have a notebook and pen in hand so that you can write down the thoughts that come to mind. If you ask yourself this question before you go to sleep each night, and, upon awakening, you may begin to see a similar thread. Maybe they're all based upon the same thing, maybe not. Either way, you will get more and more answers to your questions. Next, once you know what it is that you want, you will need to figure out how you are going to get it. Now, this is when it gets a bit more complex. So, one of the first things I like to do when I'm up against a toughie is to sit down with a large piece of paper (this is something that I learned from Brian Tracy) and list 20 ideas on how to achieve that thing! And like he says, it's usually the 20th idea that is the best idea. Try it out! I hope you'll find that you can achieve the things that you want more easily once you implement this system so that you can continuously use it and achieve them. So here's to great things coming your way. Stay strong, keep up the good fight and most of all, stay happy and healthy! Rock On & Rock Out, Dawn-Marie XO P.S. If you are feeling a little bored and are looking for something to do, I have a couple of courses that I launched. One of them is for free and the other one is deeply discounted. #65 Acknowledge Your Wins & Then Some!
Everyone talks these days about the importance of goal setting. Yes, of course, it's important, but, just as important is that we should also acknowledge them when they occur. Writing them in a journal is an excellent way to do this. A few years ago, I learned the importance of not only setting our goals but, also keeping a separate journal where you can actually acknowledge those achievements on the important things we set out to do for ourselves, whether it was a personal or for a business venture. Do you keep an acknowledgment journal? A place where you can capture all of those amazing things that happen to you along your journey? Keeping a journal or notebook that is solely dedicated to this purpose is crucial because when you have those days you feel blue, you can pull it out and it will make you smile again. If you're already doing this, my hat's off to you, and if you aren't, then, its time to get started. You've accomplished a lot of things in your time, now is the time to begin celebrating them. Here's to many amazing things along your journey. With Love, Dawn-Marie XO P.S. Let's stay in touch: IG: @lildrummergirl55 FB: dawnmariemutell

#64 Do You Finish What You Start?
Today's show is a reminder of the importance of finishing what you start. Do you have a plethora of projects sitting out there looking to be completed? Or, is there something that might've been very important to you that's fizzled it's lackluster and you tossed it aside like an old shoe? If that's the case, today's episode will help you get back on track. Here's some #MondayMotivation to help inspire you to get those tasks completed and stay on point until you get to the finish line. Don't leave these important things to chance. Get back to it, start your engines and get running. And, don't stop until it's done!! Happy New Year. Can you believe it's 2020? Sounds strange doesn't it? Since it is a new year, I'm hoping you have all of your new year's resolutions in place. Is playing your A-Game one of them? If not, why not? Today's episode is a quick little reminder that in order for us to be our best and to have our best lives, we need to step up our game and put our A Game into action. #60 Are You Passionate About Your Career or Are You Obsessed?
Are you passionate about your purpose in life? Do you know what your purpose is? I recently read a book called Be Obsessed or Be Average by Grant Cardone and I must say, everything he discusses in this book rang true to my belief system. When you have a purpose, a passion, your life's ambition to do xyz, whatever that project or passion may be. Do you believe deep down in your heart of hearts that you were meant to do this thing? Here are a couple of quick questions you can ask yourself about it to see whether or not you're obsessed about it: Do you find it hard to tear yourself away from it when you're working on it? Do you think about it every waking moment of your day or, is it just something you toy around with once in a while and don't think that much about it otherwise? Do you lay awake in bed thinking about how you're going to fuel your project? If you've answered "yes" to any of the above, then, congratulations, you're obsessed. If you answered "no", then you have some work to do. In Grant's book he discusses the importance of becoming obsessed about your purpose. To be thinking about it every waking moment and to work on it all the time.
