Star Trek: The Next Generation
We're finally back! Unfortunately after being out of the podcast game for so long, our intrepid duo are a rusty and tend to meander a bit. So if you note any weird slightly janky cuts that don't really fit in with what was being said previously, that's mostly due to me removing the whole getting sidetracked thing. Trust me, it's better this way. But I digress - This week, we talk about Star Trek: The Next Generation. And by that, I mean Season 1 specifically. Before you get out your pitchforks, it's worth knowing that 90% of this episode is just us geeking out and talking about how fantastically crap it is. Spoilers abound, but I mean if you've left this long (like Emma has) then it's sort of on you here. It /is/ a 30-ish year old show, after all. Speaking of its age, Emma mentions that she started watching when it was the 50th anniversary - She meant for Star Trek in general, not TNG specifically. Again folks, we've a bit out of shape vis a vis podcasting.Music by colonthree: https://soundcloud.com/colonthreeCheck out DiC Geeks!: https://shoutengine.com/DiCGeeks/Or even our new website!: https://mostlykobolds.com/What about Twitter?: https://twitter.com/mostlykobolds

Naoki Urasawa's Pluto (b/w Origins of Dic Geeks)
For about the first 13 minutes of this episode, Lain & Mark discuss Naoki Urasawa's manga "Pluto" before getting completely sidetracked by the tripe that DiC Entertainment released over it's life time, to which they then create a brand new podcast, of which the pilot will be coming in a few days. No, seriously - Prepare for DIC GEEKS.Music by colonthree: http://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Hausu (1977)
Wherein the pair talk about Nobuhiko Obayashi's Hausu (1977), the editing is a little bit janky, and the Lain is half-asleep (although not in the podcast itself.) But hey, at least theres an extra long blooper reel at the end of this one! Music by http://soundcloud.com/colonthreeDances and Dames Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

LWIL Halloween Special 2016 - Part 2
The world may have temporarily gone into a massive state of shock and panic for He hath come, but never fear, for yet another goofy episode of Like What I Like is finally here, and a day early too!! The friends once again coin flip, this time between the MST3K version of The Pumaman and the Red Dwarf US Pilot. But because Lain is a cheeky fucker, they ended up looking at both, much to Mark's dismay. Listen warmly, forget the world, and enjoy. You're welcome here.CREDIT STUFF:Opening & Ending Theme tunes by Andrew Bruce: http://soundcloud.com/colonthree"Hell" sound effect by Mike Koenig courtesy of soundbible.com

LWIL Halloween Special 2016 - Part 1
(Content Warning: Food) Halloween in November. It's like Christmas in July, only a lot spookier. The two pals have set up a Trick and a Treat for each other, and decide what they get via a coin flip. This week, Mark inflicts one of two choices onto Lain: The first three Halloween specials of Brooklyn Nine-Nine or the Jem And The Holograms movie. Which will it be?? Also: They eat some really crap Halloween-themed candy. Send help.CREDIT STUFF:Opening & Ending Theme tunes by Andrew Bruce: http://soundcloud.com/colonthree"Hell" sound effect by Mike Koenig courtesy of soundbible.com"Glass Break" sound effect by stephan schutze courtesy of soundbible.com

Banjo-Kazooie "HD" (X360)
How many of these have we done now? Three?? We need to do something about that. Anyway, this week, Lain takes on the "HD" port of Banjo-Kazooie on the Xbox 360 (as emulated on an Xbox One), but in a surprising twist of events, actually sort of likes it! Well, apart from a few glaring issues she had with the game that is. But hey that's just par for the course with these platformer games anyway. T'was the 90's/early 2000's, 3D was new, people were still messing about with it and trying to work out how to make these kinds of games actually good, so it's a bit unfair to be so brutal on them (Sonic Adventure 1&2 still suck though, sorry not sorry). This one went out a bit later than usual due to Lain only getting 3 hours sleep on the day we normally put these things out and as such she was basically half-dead by time she could actually start editing. Feel free to start messaging us shouting at her to start editing episodes earlier than the day they have to be out, please.Music by colonthree: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Lilo & Stitch
Get your heads down, Mark is pissed. No, not drunk, though he did drink a cider during recording. He's pissed about Lilo & Stitch. Y'see, as much as this movie is loved, you gotta face facts; The writing in it is rubbish. Oh, yeah, it's cute, I mean even Lain still likes it. But even she agrees that, story-wise, it's not great. "But why is it shit?", I hear literally every single one of you shout at us via multiple megaphones, thus causing severe tinnitus to both of us. Well, listen and find out. Music by colonthree: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Marvellous Moviesode - Captain America: The First Avenger
Alternate Title: "Lain's Snoozy Movies Part 2". Y'see, not only did the pair not really have much to say on the movie in general, but also both of them were incredibly sleepy for the entire thing, leading to this rather short episode. I suppose one could call this somewhat of a palate cleanser, to allow one to get back into the groove of regular LWIL episodes after the rather exciting EGX 2016 episode. Either way, onwards we plod.Opening/Ending music by colonthree: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree If you like our show, please consider leaving a review on iTunes, or even telling a friend! Thanks ?

EGX 2016
We apologize for the wait but thankfully, it's finally here! In this episode we regale our time from two days prior to recording, wherein we visited EGX, the UK's only gaming convention that's actually half-decent. We briefly touch upon how awful Tornado Storm energy drink is with a play-by-play review from Lain before hitting up each game we WISHED we looked at and followed up with every game we actually played (which, depsite what you'd think, wasn't actually that many.) Get the kettle on, sit down, get comfy and enjoy this special feature length episode of Like What I Like, along with a bonus double length blooper at the end!Opening/Ending music by colonthree: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

What We Do In The Shadows (b/w EGX talk)
In this episode, the pair talk about the vampire mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows. And by "the pair", I mean Mark. Lain is here, yes, but not only did she watch the movie while half-asleep, she also slowly drained back into that snoozy state over the duration of the recording, so for the most part it's just kind of Mark gushing about how much he likes the movie. And then Lain also edited this episode half-asleep. Also she was pretty loud in the early parts of the episode too. As a result, she can confirm that so far this is the worst episode she has edited ever. Out of two. This one being the second one. Oh yeah and they kind of finish talking about that aforementioned movie like half way in and just kind of end up talking about other stuff Lain has watched. Also: Excited EGX talk! Enjoy this all new once-in-a-lifetime* offer of a main episode and minisode hybrid!! * Not a guaranteed statement. Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

The Mighty Boosh (Series 1)
Today on Like What I Like, Lain & Mark find out how you gets to killaroo, with The Mighty Boosh! While this is a first for Mark, it's the also the first time in quite a while since Lain last saw the show. Is everything just as good as Lain remembered it being? Will they enjoy it? Or are they going to be living within a Hubba-Bubba nightmare forever? Spoilers: It's bad.On a partially unrelated note, you may notice that this episode sounds a little bit different compared to the usual output. That would be because - for the first time ever - Lain has edited this episode and put her radio internship skills to use. As such, be sure to direct any complaints you have about this episode to her since it's entirely her fault. Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Bojack Horseman
This week on Like What I Like we discuss Bojack Horseman, an animated tragi-comedy about a depressed alcoholic former sitcom actor. Who also happens to be a horse. And we're trying to record a good podcast. It's not too long and we think you'll have a blast. Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Saint Young Men
We're finally back! With an all-new shorter format. We talk about the changes to the podcast, along with our thoughts on the actual topic; the first Volume of Hikaru Nakamura's Saint Young Men, a slice of life manga about Jesus and Buddha taking an extended holiday in modern day Japan. Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Marvellous Moviesode: Fantastic Four (1993)
Face front, true believers, because it's finally time for another Marvellous Moviesode! We watched The Fantastic Four movie! No, not that one. Not that one either. Not the sequel to that one. The first one. The one they made in the early nineties because a bunch of lawyers realised that they needed to make a film simply to hold onto the rights. Never seen it? Probably for the best. Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Ressha Sentai ToQger/Paranoia Agent
In this week's episode we gloss over Ressha Sentai ToQger (It's Power Rangers with trains) so that Lain can spend an inordinate amount of time talking about Praline Agent, er Parsnip Agent... er Paranoia Agent, a Satoshi Kon series about plush toys, social phemonenomns and childhood trauma. Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

EP11 Bonus - The One Where Candice Happens
Our point episodes are companion pieces to our regular episodes, so if you've not heard them yet you should definitely go listen to Episodes 9 thru 11.Finally at last! A brand new point episode is here for your enjoyment. We kick things off with an extra-special Quiz At The End covering nearly two months of content, then talk about Pokémon Go for a bit, because every other podcast is doing that. Also, we receive a very special listener message. Oh yes.Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Ninja Terminator/Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
Another episode? So soon? Well, Lain insisted upon getting us directly back onto our usual schedule so we're going straight into (well, as much as we generally are capable of being) discussing the Godfrey Ho B-movie mistake that is 'Ninja Terminator', and Joss Whedon's short musical web series 'Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. We also get sidetracked occasionally, so that's something to look forward to.Show notes: - While there's a sort of direct sequel called 'Golden Ninja Warrior', there's also another movie starring Richard Harrison, still wearing that damned camouflage ninja suit, called 'Ninja Dragon' which I now suddenly have to watch.- The Writers Guild of America strike still took place between 2007 and 2008. That information has not changed since the previous shownotes.- IMAGINAAAAAAASHUNNNN!Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Samurai Champloo/Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds
Welcome to LWIL +168, the channel that gives you what should have been on regular LWIL precisely a week ago. Or something. It's 4am, so I'm struggling to work that into an actual joke. Either way, we actually managed to get an extra recording session together and threw together our episode on Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of the Worlds, and the hip-hop Edo samurai anime Samurai Champloo. There's also a bit about Excel Saga or something thrown in because we got kind of off-topic. So same old, same old then.Show notes: I checked, and no I have never heard Nightmare by Brainbug before. The Fantastic Four were created in 1961 not 1966. I get my moon landings and my cosmic ray events mixed up.Samurai Champloo is definitely Seinen, and the manga is based on it is Shonen. We also never mention Josei, which is aimed at adult women. The Writers Guild of America strike took place between 2007 and 2008.Various noises that can be heard in the background of this episode include; snoring dogs, cutlery, scratching dogs, moving dogs, running water, birdsong and dogs. Can you spot them all? And more to the point, why would you want to?That dratted Team Red has taken over my gyms again. Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Marvellous Moviesode: Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Face front, true believers: It's another Monthly Marvellous Moviesode, and one that's slightly late because we ran out of our Meagre Monthly Megabytes! In this episode, Lain finally gets to see Guardians of the Galaxy (AKA: Raccoons of the Galaxy), and is stunned by the fact that it's a genuinely good film! Also, Mark completely butchers Chip Zdarsky's name at one point, so what else could you possibly want? Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree
