Giving thanks is an important part of what we do here at Light of Life. Each year staff and clients gather together for a time to eat, fellowship, and share what they are thankful for, and how God has been working in their lives over the past year. Mike shares his journey to sobriety, bumps along the way, and how important support and community around him was to push through tough times. His story is a great reminder that through God and community all things are possible! 

Rob, who has worked at Light of Life for 21 years now, shares his experiences at Light of Life, along with his personal testimony of how he came to know Christ. Listen to hear an amazing story of how although we may have our own plans, God has an even greater plan. As Rob states in this episode, God has His plans, and because of that, "we [can look] at the future again, and it seems pretty bright." Hope is found in God's plan, and Rob's story is a great example of this. 

Listen to Episode 15 to hear Amber's story. Amber tells of her journey through addiction as a mother. Amber shares about her struggles, tough decisions, and hard experiences she endured due to addiction. Currently a client in our Women and Children's program, Amber also shares how she now has peace and healing because of God's grace and work in her life. 

Listen to Marcus, a program graduate who is currently utilizing our emergency shelter as he is dealing with housing transition. Although struggling with homelessness again, Marcus shares how he is not without hope this time. Having been in Light of Life's program before, Marcus knew he had a community of people to lean on in his time of transition. 

In this special Ash Wednesday edition of Hope Unveiled, listeners hear from women in our program who got to participate in a special, individual, Ash Wednesday ceremony with Pastor Leeann Younger at CityView Church. For many women this was their first Ash Wednesday and Easter season knowing Christ. Hear from Pastor Leeann, and why she does Ash Wednesday, along with three women after receiving ashes. 

Abdul shares his day to day here at Light of Life as the Housing and Employment Care Team Specialist, and how his own recovery experience impacts his work. 

Chris Saleone, the current Manager of Facilities at Light of Life, began his journey here as a client. Chris tells his story, and shares his moving testimony of addiction, incarceration, pain, and how God played a part in directing his path to bring Chris to the hope he has today. 

Kristi, a woman in our program and resident at Sister's Recovery House, shares her story of transformation. Dealing with addiction, homelessness and incarceration throughout the past 30 years, Kristi now celebrates 5 years sober from drugs, and 2 years from alcohol. Listen to hear more about her story of second chances, love and inspiration. 

In this story, Greg M, a program graduate, shares his past of addiction and hurt, and how God has transformed him to the person he is today.
