S5E11: A Lesson in Living Ft. Big Brother Canada Legend Martin Frenette
I had a tough time coming up with a name for this episode because of all that Marty and I chatted about. However, I think what strikes me the most is that this man has gone through some really tough times and still continues to seek out life's challenges, face them head-on, and embodies the idea of embracing the wreck. So this truly is simply a lesson in living. Martin Frenette is a fraud investigation, author, father, hockey coach, and role model for men everywhere simply in how he actively chooses to live. While Marty and I were in the Big Brother Canada house we talked about doing this episode so to finally have it come to life is really special. I hope you'll all enjoy listening to the episode as much as I enjoyed putting it together. Kick back, relax, and listen to a few New Brunswick boys (or boys at heart) talk about mental health.Follow the podcast: @lifesawreckpodcast - IG @lifesawreckpod - Twitter Follow Marty on IG :@martyfrenette_bbcan10 Follow Kyle: @moorzyyy - IG @kmoore0081 - Twitter

S5E10: Big Brother Canada and Moore
WE'RE BAAAAACK BAAAABY! Welcome back to Life's a Wreck everyone! As many of you may know I recently participated in the most recent season of Big Brother Canada. It was an absolutely surreal experience to be a fan of the show and then actually get a chance to participate. In this episode, I break down my mental state leading up to the house, in the house and then after I was evicted. This experience is one I'll be processing for a while so this episode provides a sounding-off point, a benchmark for where I'm at in that process. Much love to all of you and I look forward to sharing more stories with you all. This is just the beginning. S5E9: THE EAST COAST BOYS ARE BACK (Ft. Allister Nicholson)
What's going on guys and welcome back to Life's a Wreck! Happy New Year and from everyone here at Life's a Wreck we hope it's better than the last two :D This week on the podcast I'm joined by my best friend and roommate Allister Nicholson to simply chat. Too often in the world of mental health, we get caught up in the big picture conversations but it's these kinds of conversations that can make the biggest impact. Showcasing two male best friends talking openly about their lives through the lens of mental health. This is Allister's third time on the pod and this time we went into it with no plan but ended up talking about perfectionism, creativity and finding a direction in life. It's a beautiful conversation, albeit a touch erratic, so kick back, relax and enjoy the first pod of 2022!Follow the podcast: @lifesawreckpodcast - IG @lifesawreckpod - Twitter  Follow Kyle: @moorzyyy - IG @kmoore0081 - Twitter

S5E8: Happy Holidays Here's a Coupla Young Men Talking Suicide and Social Anthropology (Ft. Bryce Anderson)
Happy Holidays to all! From us here at Life's a Wreck. Our gift to you: a conversation about suicide. Not the gift you wanted but the gift all of us need. This week on the podcast I'm joined by Dalhousie University Doctoral Candidate Bryce Anderson to talk about Social Anthropology and one of the biggest baddest words known to modern-day stigma...suicide. This episode is so important to me because I think it's one that my younger self could have used back when I was going through some really tough times. It's an open and casual conversation about suicide and I think all of us can take something from it. Kick back, relax, and let's have a long-overdue conversation about suicide.Follow the podcast: @lifesawreckpodcast - IG @lifesawreckpod - Twitter  Follow Kyle: @moorzyyy - IG @kmoore0081 - Twitter

S5E7: When Life Gives You Lemons, Start a Tea Company (Ft. Taylor Lindsay-Noel)
What's going on guys and welcome back to Life's a Wreck! This week on the podcast we're sitting down with Taylor Lindsay-Noel to talk about self-identity, grieving the loss of yourself, and how mindset can help us achieve more than we ever thought possible. Taylor was paralyzed by a gymnastics accident at 14 and during incredibly formative years of her life had to readjust her sense of self. She's since blossomed into the amazing person she is today and has launched not only a successful podcast (Tea Time with Tay) but also a Luxury Tea Company (Cup of Té). Kick back, relax, and grab some tea because this is a good one.Check out Taylor's Content on IG:@taylorln - IGCup of Té - https://cupofte.ca/Follow the podcast:@lifesawreckpodcast - IG@lifesawreckpod - Twitter  Follow Kyle:@moorzyyy - IG@kmoore0081 - Twitter

S5E6: A World of Flying Glass: Understanding Schizophrenia (Ft. Matthew Dickson)
Not often a few boys from Charlotte County get to sit down and get into the nitty-gritty of mental health but luckily for you, today is one of those days. This week on the podcast I'm joined by fellow mental health advocate Matthew Dickson to talk about schizophrenia and the experiences he's had living with the disease for nearly 30 years. There are some laughs, some parts that are tough to hear, and definitely some times that will make you re-evaluate so much of what you think you know about schizophrenia. This episode is an ode to all those who feel alone or that there is no one around who understands what you're going through. A beautiful episode filled with beautiful stories.  A very human episode that I'm hoping you'll get as much out of as I did. S5E5: You Gotta Be Some Stuck Up To Interview Yourself (Ft. Myself)
The Life's a Wreck inception podcast. This week on the pod I thought it might be a fun little creative experiment to explore the world of self-talk in a deeper way by literally sitting down and interviewing myself for the pod. I woke up, thought "huh I wonder what it would look like to have a 40-minute conversation with myself?" turned it into a podcast and now you have the pleasure of suffering through it. You're welcome. In all seriousness though, I love the creative platform that the podcast provides me and this one was a lot of fun to think through and put together. If even for a second you reflect on the relationship you have with yourself and your mental state then this podcast was worth it. Her experiences with grief, self-harm and self-acceptance are so powerful and she's chosen to share her story in a way the connects with so many people across so many mediums. I love what she's doing and I'm so happy to be able to share what she has to say with all of you. S5E3: Let's Just Talk For a Few - Kyle's Life Update
The whole reason I started this podcast was so that I had a creative medium to use when I needed to get some things off my chest. Now, going through a move, I figured it would be a great time to get back to the old Life's a Wreck podcast roots and just talk with you guys for a few. In this episode, I just talk through how being in a new environment both mentally and physically has changed my mental state and how I'm working on establishing stability in a new place. This was a fun one to put together so kick back, relax, and let's just talk for a few. Follow Kyle of IG @moorzyyyFollow the podcast on IG @lifesawreckpodcast

S4E14: Understanding Emotions (all of em) Ft. Chris Wilson
What's going on guys? This week on the podcast I'm really stoked to be joined by men's coach, Chris Wilson. I met Chris through the monthly Tethr pods that I participate in and that Chris helps run. His impact on all the men that he works with is obvious and I couldn't wait to get him on the pod. We had a super interesting conversation surrounding some of the more philosophical concepts about the relationship between mind and body, feelings and emotions, and our internal and external life. Chris is the Founder and The Unshakable Man Brotherhood, an online community of conscious men holding space for connection, healing, and growth and in this episode, he explains the unshakable paradox which can help all men open up and live more emotionally fulfilled lives. What's up guys and welcome back to your mom's favourite mental health podcast, Life's a Wreck. This week on the show we're talking about something that is long overdue. A look into the world of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The two individuals who are sharing their experience on the podcast today are people who just reached out to tell their stories via Instagram ( @lifesawreckpodcast) but who were so compelling that we couldn't not have them share their stories with you too. This episode is definitely a tough one in parts so a trigger warning in advance. kick back and relax and let's talk about all things trauma. S4E10: Solitude and Doubt Ft. Canada's First Ever Woman to Play Men's University Tackle Football, Reina Iizuka
I'm a really lucky guy. I literally get to sit down and talk about mental health with some of the most interesting people I've ever met. I love every second of it and this week is no exception. Sometimes it can be hard standing out in a crowd, but especially when you're a woman and the crowd in question is a university football locker room. Reina Iizuka is the first woman to ever play men's tackle football in Canada at the university level and her story is one that needs to be heard more. From being called out by teammates to being featured on news outlets like TSN's, Reina's mental landscape has played a massive role in her life, especially over the past four years. In this episode, Reina and I talk about internal and external doubt, dealing with expectations, and also the self-imposed limitations we sometimes set for ourselves to avoid drawing attention away from things we care about. It's a great interview with an even better person, so kick back and relax because, at the end of the day, we're all just a bunch of wrecks.Follow Reina on IG:@_reinaiizuka Follow the podcast on IG:@lifesawreckpodcastFollow Kyle on IG and TikTok: @moorzyyy

In this episode, Dr. Hill and I talk all about his work and how it's changing the future of mental health care, and to be honest, at times it sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi flick.
